Dr. B, it's awfully HOT over here for May!

It was 90º in North Bend today. And 85º in Seattle.

The website is for grist magazine -- where Dr. B saw the interview with Dr. Hansen

Carey sent me an E-mail, I will post it in it's entirety, I don't think she will mind.
............................
Hi.

It's moment to moment. Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers--they were truly felt. I mean it. Thank God for the blog. More so, thank God for friends like you.

There's a reason I joined the blog last year. That's apparent now. I can't really write much, I get too choked up. I need your help in passing along to all my thanks and my feelings about my friends on both blogs.

Now Ken. Eventually I'll write about him on the blog. He was a deeply troubled man. He drank heavily--at one point so did I. He had the shortness of breath starting just at the time Clinton got his. He would not go to a doctor. He had the symptoms again a day before he died. He passed from a massive heart attack. He was on no heart medication because he wouldn't go to the doctor. Alcohol rushed everything up. He was 62. Please pass this along. I know people need to know.

This is the one situation we all have the deepest fears of--being left alone. I need everyone to know I'm not alone. I've been surrounded by angels and spirits. So have Brandon, Danny & Kevin. I knew something was seriously wrong and was in tears a half hour before the call and had been extremely nervous the whole day. I was being prepared in the last few months. That's how I see it in retrospect and I'll try to write about it. It will take me a long time to get this all out.

I knew you were there--all of you. It helped me so during the first horrendous days.

Brandon is okay. I wrote Micki a little about it last night. Please relate that Micki. Danny is okay (middle son). The other one, I fear is going to have a hard time of it. He left here during a bad time for Ken. He's in Oklahoma. He's getting married. God took care of him in that respect.

Thank you all for your concern. It's one step at a time.

Love,
Carey
...................................
You go girl!!

Your best years are ahead of you now. I am so glad you are OK, well somewhat OK, as OK as can be expected for the circumstances.

C'mon back when your ready, we will be waiting anxiously for your return.

Love, Den

Jerry Falwell made some interesting comments on why he started the Moral Majority. He became involved because of Roe v Wade and taking prayer out of the classroom. There may be more issues with him in the beginning but I cannot recall these issues.

With groups, organizations, and persons, they all start out with good intentions but as they become more powerful, they begin to believe what they do and say is right and if you do not agree with them, you are wrong.

POWER CORRUPTS AND ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY!

I asked a relative in the AF what she thinks about this move. Okay, she's a Lt. Col. , but she said, this is really a terribly minor issue and it's unfortunate that people are whining who know nothing about it. Military service means that you're owned 'til you are out of the military, end of story.

She said critical medical information can be delayed because of people swarming to office computers to check their MySpace and upload their photos and videos they just took.

She pointed out that other internet options are available -- for instance through the USO who has provided wireless connections with ho blocks.

When I read about the military cutting off access to YouTube, etc... it mentioned that the military just recently opened their own version of YouTube, specifically for military videos and pictures. The article mentions how ironic it is that they were encouraging soldiers to post their clips, but now they can't even get to the site.
Anybody else heard of some sort of military version of youtube? I mean, I see ALOT of clips posted at military.com (membership required), but I don't think that's the same.
