Last Tuesday, Sidney, Nebraska local James Osborn appeared before the state’s Oil and Gas Conservation Commission to object to the proposal of a fracking wastewater storage well operated by Terex Energy Corp. In a YouTube video, later circulated on Reddit, Osborn pours three cups of cloudy water.
“You told me this morning when I was in here… that you would drink this water,” he says to the commission. “So, would you drink it?”
After a pause, someone replies, “Sir, we [can’t] comment on this.”
