Solstice Sunday / Fathers Day

HAPPY SOLSTICE: Today, is the June solstice–the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere, and the shortest day in the south. The exact moment of the solstice is 12:38 pm EDT, when the sun reaches its highest declination on the celestial sphere (+23.5o). To mark the occasion, Richard Sears photographed this sun halo over Atwater, California:

“Happy solstice!” says Sears.

The long days of northern summer are excellent times to look for sun halos. They are formed by ice crystals in high cirrus clouds, which are freezing cold no matter how hot it gets on the ground below. Keep an eye on the solstice sun for rainbow-colored arcs in the surrounding sky.

I’m a father but my children make me unhappy. They never call, they never write, they never visit. Did get a communally signed B-Day card, too cheap to buy two cards I guess (they are not poor financially) Their Mother has total control over their lives and since she is the evil half, has influenced them against me. I left them and moved to CA Waa! Waa! Waa! Well guess what kids?
YOU ARE OUT OF MY WILL! I will give it all to charity ya money grubbers, so there!

I bought a new welder online to soothe my lonely soul and wouldn’t ya know it the stupid bank thought it was fraud and slammed the brakes on the credit card, I was pissed!
I asked the person on the phone why? “the bank thought is was fraud”, I thought that was what the 3 digit number on the back was for, DUH! Idiots!
More un-Happy Fathers day crap! I’m going for a ride to cool off. 👿

I cannot get interested in consuming creatures that are born and get harvested on the bottom of the ocean where all the crap humans toss in collects, naw, I’d rather eat a cow, pig or chicken, at least they are raised in their own filth, not someone elses. Sheesh

Left a comment for you yesterday, Den.

You mean the 5th wheel idea? Nope, the truck is for selling, not keeping, money sitting there I need for my land project I’m OK with the 25′ one, easier to maneuver, on board generator, fifth wheels don’t have plus I have a carrier to put on the back for my motorcycle if I need to get around while parked I could ride it, and a rain suit for the inclement stuff. No sir, don’t need the bulk of a tractor-trailer rig either, besides, I’m old and hate backing trailers.
