Old Car Wednesday

This 1938 Cadillac V-16 Series 90 Fleetwood Limousine was one of the cars found in an Austin barn after more than four decades of storage. It has an estimated value between $45,000-$65,000 for the upcoming Motostalgia Brickyard Auction in Indianapolis on June 12. which you know is long past now.
I thought the post worthy because of the plethora of pictures provided (PPP for you acronym freaks).
Take a look and see history in automobiles preserved in time because one person thought them worthy of saving, he was right. 22 pics here

Starting out warm, 81 inside, same outside, 108 expected, better run my errands now, later might mean death from heat stroke, ugh.

Sounds like you could have fried an egg on the floor of your garage yesterday. Yikes, 106°?

Yesterday, it drizzled, rained, had thunder and lightening so of course, I couldn’t mow and it needs it. I cooked instead. Mosquitoes finally out and I couldn’t sit around last night, like on the patio, had to keep moving. They aren’t super bad, but they are here.

Quite cool this morning, Den would LOVE it. The windows I opened I already closed, too chilly.

It’s overcast today, humid so I don’t know if the grass will dry up enough so I can mow.

I didn’t get over here yesterday and didn’t red the Lansing State Journal, or the Detroit Free Press. Making up for it now, came here first. Hope to be back later after I catch up on everything else.

Very cool. Passed by one of those huge monolithic bus motor homes on the way home from work a few minutes ago, and the beast had two very small windows on the l/h side. I call bullshit. Motor homes should have big windows on both sides.

In other news there’s a person in Michigan (code name: Carol) hyperventilating right now, shouting out ‘I want emoticons on DWF! Right now!’

Hyperbole added for dramatic effect and, well, it’s fun.

Posted the pics off Craigslist before they disappear.
California SMOG test required by owner, naturally they neglected that issue putting any forward motion on hold until completed. Tomorrow.

On trip to the grocery store I noticed that almost all the cars are newer. Only one with decaying paint.

That was the ‘white trash’ representative, lot’s of those here.
New cars, silver, black or white, conspicuously short of color.

I will now join the LLaamas for some quiet meditation. 😉
