Monday’s Morons

Outside the South Carolina statehouse, William Bader stood tall and defiant as he brandished a large Confederate battle flag. It was not unlike the one embroidered on his black shirt, or the one a local honor guard recently removed from a flagpole outside the legislative building where he protested.

Bader, an imperial wizard in the Trinity White Knights, drove hundreds of miles from Kentucky – or, rather, “Klantucky”, as he quipped – to Columbia, all in hopes of defending the flag on a sweltering Saturday afternoon.

“They took our flag, so be it,” said Bader, a member of the Ku Klux Klan for the past two decades. “They’re taking our heritage from us. They’re taking the freedom out of America.”

Company over yesterday. Saturday I made more tostadas AND Hungarian Palacsintas. It was a payment to a friend of Pete’s who is Hungarian and loves my palacsintas. He bought a drone! OMG! He brought it over and took pictures of the ranch for me. Stills and two videos. I haven’t done anything with them yet but maybe tonight I’ll have time. I pick the best and send them to Den to post here. WOO HOO! Then you guys can see my rural neighborhood.

If I were younger I would own a drone in a heartbeat. It was windy and the thing was held in place by 12 satellites. Jon attached his cell phone to the controller, his phone was the catalyst. It told him how up the things was, 400 feet at one point.

Anyway, life should settle back down starting tonight. Today I had to run to the big grocery in Mason and make salads, and Quincy is here. Off I go to play with him, plus he just ate and needs a walk.

    See ya later.

Up Missouri Flat Creek to Terre View Blvd and back in 38 minutes. Record time.

This week so far 101+38=139 minutes.

Saw a jet at high altitude heading for Hawaii. Also a hole dug under a fence by a sizable animal. Splattered dirt and rock all over the path.

I never go for more than 45 minutes without stopping to rest. The times reported are after taking out the rest stop times.
