Windows 10 Thursday

Judging from the amount of data collected by Windows 10 this is a ruse to make them (MS) look innocent in the Publics’ eye. Beware of wolves in sheeps’ clothing, you are being watched.

The United States government has the right to demand the emails of anyone in the world from any email provider headquartered within US borders, Department of Justice (DoJ) lawyers told a federal appeals court on Wednesday.

The case being heard in the second circuit court of appeals is between the US and Microsoft and concerns a search warrant that the government argues should compel Microsoft to retrieve emails held on a Hotmail server in Ireland.

Microsoft contends that the DoJ has exceeded its authority with potentially dangerous consequences. Organizations including Apple, the government of Ireland, Fox News, NPR and the Guardian have filed amicus briefs with the court, arguing the case could set a precedent for governments around the world to seize information held in the cloud. Judges have ruled against the tech company twice.

Counsel for Microsoft contends that the US search warrant should not have been used to compel it to hand over emails stored in Ireland. “This is an execution of law enforcement seizure on their land,” Joshua Rosenkranz, counsel for Microsoft, told the court. “We would go crazy if China did this to us.”

Diane going home tomorrow. I’m getting behind on the news out there. Life will resume normalcy Saturday. Need to mow this place, it’s horrible! I like the lawns to neat. Will have to go to town and fill my two gas cans and dump some in the car while I’m at it.

@ the Birch & Barley after 44 minutes. There is a yellow Ram pickup parked out in front. But earlier an even uglier yellow-green car went by.

    Otherwise a lovely day.

Well, let me tell you about my day, whether you like it or not, yer gonna get told.
Started out this AM with the intention of driving to Imlay, NV to investigate some property.
Stopped @ MCeeDees for 2 eggamuffins and a small Orange juice, OVER $6!,
I was shocked and told the minimum wage worker that their company was ripping off the American Public. Unfortunately he has to be a ‘Happy Face’, so I did not rip him a ‘new one’,
    luckily for him, not really.
Therefore I ventured into the Sierra Unknown, up I-80 I went, through Reno and Lovelock
pressed onward accros vast open spaces that can only be described as magnificent.
Salt-like acres upon acres, not sure what the stuff was but definitely white.
Finally arrived in Imlay to check out the property. I would have posted pictures but forgot to take the camera, no loss, a decrepit Pace Arrow Motorhome surrounded by an assortment of junk. I talked to the neighbor lady extensively till my skin hurt from the intense Sun, I needed shade and so did she.
When I stopped, I noticed a lot of overheating bubbling from the radiator into the overflow tank and the radiator fans WERE NOT RUNNING at all- SHIT!
I puttered around the area, watching the temp gauge carefully, stopped at at Star Point Trading Post for lunch.
Burger on the menu and a very nice lady serving it also, Dusti, with an i, I was impressed.
Well ok, nuff of that, back to auto issues.
Time to leave, back to CA, 98+ local.
It didn’t take long for the Temp Gauge to start to climb, out with triple trailers semi’s, me going 10 mph below the 75 speed limit, getting passed by those guys, giant tires with explosive capabilities, then I remembered an old mechanic trick of turning on the heater and use the fan to relieve the heat building on this record-setting Thursday, it worked! the temp gauge started to go down, I still maintained my slower speed and with the defrosters on full heat with fan, proceeded to bake myself in Sauna fashion, minus the rocks, two water bottles later. I landed in Verdi,NV
Found a Casino on the side of the road, Sierra Nevada on draft, time to cool the Miata and wait for sunset.
Three of those aforementioned brews and my donation to the Casino: $2 I ventured out the door and back into the Miata, put the top down, the Sun was gone!, rolled up Donner Summit, no problem, it cooled off a lot, YAAY! Rolled down the hill back to Auburn, into the shower I went.
So here I sit, shot 2 shit, but enjoyed the day anyway, CHEERS!
