What is the problem if you not doing anything we determine to be wrong?
Last week, Chinese app developers disclosed that an Apple programming tool had been hijacked to trick developers into embedding malicious software into apps for Apple devices.
The malware, called XcodeGhost, works by corrupting Apple’s Xcode software, which runs on Mac computers and compiles source code into apps that can run on iPhones, iPads, and other devices, before submitting them to the App Store. If a developer has XcodeGhost installed on their computer, apps that they compile include malware without the developer realizing it.
Although XcodeGhost is the first malware to spread this way in the wild, the techniques it uses were previously developed and demonstrated by Central Intelligence Agency researchers at the CIA’s annual top-secret Jamboree conference in 2012. Using documents from NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, The Intercept‘s Jeremy Scahill and Josh Begley described the CIA’s Xcode project in a story published in March.
Security firm Palo Alto Networks has published detailed technical analyses of the malware. At least 50 apps have made it into the App Store with this malware, including WeChat, one of the world’s most popular messaging apps, with hundreds of millions of users, primarily in Asia. Apps infected with XcodeGhost malware are capable of popping up fake alerts asking for credentials, such as the user’s iCloud password; reading what has been copied to the clipboard, such as passwords from password manager apps; and exploiting other parts of iOS. It’s not clear who is behind the malware or if they are based in China.

Windows 10 has the same unscrupulous manner, another ‘watcher’. We have much to worry about requiring a cohesiveness of the populous to face these unscrupulous assholes that would throw our collective gains away in favor of instant profit and payola for the few willing to snitch on the many. BAH!!

No power in half the building when I arrived this AM, of course the half with the fridge, and coffee pot was out. Spent a half hour t-shooting, found the main breaker half popped, quite odd as there are no apparent shorts anywhere except the ones I am wearing. Reset the breaker and all is a-ok.

On the night of Sept. 27 and into the early hours of Sept. 28, the full Moon will glide through the shadow of Earth, turning the Harvest Moon a golden-red color akin to autumn leaves.
The action begins at 6:07 PM Pacific Time on the evening of Sept 27th when the edge of the Moon first enters the amber core of Earth’s shadow. For the next three hours and 18 minutes, Earth’s shadow will move across the lunar disk.
Totality begins at 7:11 PM Pacific Time. That’s when the Moon is completely enveloped by the shadow of our planet. Totality lasts for an hour and 12 minutes so there is plenty of time to soak up the suddenly-red moonlight.

How about that guy, Martin Shkreli, raising the price of that drug by something like 5,455 percent? Just read that a record label he funds for punk rockers, the punks are pissed at him.
Yesterday my good friend Diane’s daughter-in-law, a nurse but not very smart, was outraged and said there should be a law, there should be a regulation, the government should do something. I told her if she wants to try to stop things like that, DON’T VOTE FOR REPUBLICANS. She said, “Oh, are they backing this?” I had to explain that republicans don’t like regulations, don’t care if she is poisoned by the food, the water, would NEVER want to regulate how much we can be charged for drugs. I hope one day she tells me she voted for a Democrat, before they are completely lost to us, too.
Pete and I were discussing Becky today, he said he has hope that she could be turned from the evil ones. She’s one of the rare people who actually ask me questions, who seems to actually take into account the things I say. She’s up against a husband, a gun nut, probably a bigot….Diane is a bigot as was her husband, their kids must be, too. Anyway, there’s hope for Becky.
