Saturday Speech Salary

1a

Hillary Clinton’s deep ties to Wall Street are under the spotlight again following her defense of taking large speaking fees from Goldman Sachs, as well as campaign finance records showing the tens of millions her campaign and super PACs have received from the financial sector.

Her defense of the speaking fees came Wednesday night during the Democratic Presidential Town Hall hosted by CNN when Anderson Cooper asked if it “was a mistake” or “bad error in judgement” for her to take $675,000 from the investment banking giant for three speeches.

Her response: “Look, I made speeches to lots of groups. I told them what I thought. I answered questions.”

“But did you have to be paid $675,000?” Cooper asked.

“Well, I don’t know,” she said. “That’s what they offered. Every secretary of state that I know has done that.”

She added that she wasn’t committed to running at the time, and said, “They’re not giving me very much money now, I can tell you that much.”

Late start today, woke up feeling dead, one of these days I will be when this Pain Train gets to the station.

Sunny today, mild temps, good cuz I have a ton of work to catch up on from being laid up so long.

Coffee in the corner, donuts and cookies on the side, dig in!

@ the Birch & Barley 26 minutes after leaving Shopko. Took me 49 minutes south along Grand Avenue to arrive there; soxs and BP pills.

Well glad you all had your fill of the goodies always available @ DWF.
I sprayed the inside of the ARRRVee with mold killer, hope it works, I need to sell the POS ASAP.
I have determined once again I have too much stuff as I was sorting the assorted boxes in the van in an effort to see what I can donate and GTFO of my stuff pile.
Sorry about all the acronyms, my arms and hands are tired.

Too bad you couldn’t stay in your house, Den. All settled and comfy, no POS RV to deal with. Especially now, with all your aches and pains and health problems. Now it’s loads of grief on a daily basis. 😦

I now have my own grief. Besides the backs of my two thighs still hurting, I did something to my back while washing my hair two days ago. I lean my knees against the bathtub and use the shower things to wash my hair. Well, something in my back didn’t like that on that particular day. Back wasn’t too bad at all yesterday, but right now? Yikes! I must have aggravated it when I vacuumed the house, swept the bathroom and kitchen floors, shook the throw rugs, vacuumed the basement steps and dusted the living room. Simple, normal shit but now my back is VERY mad at me. Just below my waist, a horizontal line from hip to hip. 😦 Doesn’t bother me at all when I’m sitting, of course the backs of my thighs HATE me sitting. It’s when I stand up. GADZOOKS!

I’m going out for my beer walk anyway. After I stand for awhile I always feed better. It’s the sitting down then getting up again that is hard.

Damn if there isn’t another repuke debate on as I type. Bob turned to the channel for me so I could see if Trump showed up. They don’t talk about anything important. The moderator asked Jeb about something bad he said about Rubio. Then Jeb and Rubio discussed whatever it was. So childish, the republicans.
