Money-soaked Wednesday

Looks like the extremely wealthy and politically influential Koch Brothers are waging a multimillion dollar war against the burgeoning electric vehicle(EV) market, notably frustrating none other than EV titan Elon Musk.

In an effort to strike back at record-breaking EV sales, the fossil fuel industry is allegedly funding a new organization that will spend $10 million a year to push petroleum-based transportation fuels and attack government subsidies on EVs, refining industry sources told the Huffington Post.

According to HuffPo, a Koch Industries board member and a veteran Washington energy lobbyist will be involved in the purported EV-squashing initiative.

“I think they (are) approaching all the major independent refiners,” one industry source explained to HuffPo.

The mission of the still-unnamed group will be to “make the public aware of all the benefits of petroleum-based transportation fuels,” the source said, adding that “the current administration has a bias toward phasing out” these fuels.

“(The Kochs are) worried about state and community subsidies,” the source said. “In 20 years, electric vehicles could have a substantial foothold in the U.S. market.”

I hope these two assholes burn in Hell!

With all the money they are pissing away to gain control we could tackle homelessness and poverty, bad infrastructure and deteriorating highways.

Their uber-selfishness is disgusting and is the worst America has to offer.

    Burn bitches, burn!

The snow started at 8:30 this morning. It’s pretty deep. I shoveled in front of the back door and the walkway to the garage 3 times today.

I opened the back door to take a look and damn, I could hardly open the screen door. So, out I went to shovel. The snow is wet and heavy, can’t be pushed so I had to dig and loft it. My heart was pounding to beat the band and I had to keep resting, panting like a greyhound. *phew* But so far I didn’t keel over from a heart attack…unless I still could as I sit here typing, breathing normally.

Pete forgot to tell the school they were in their new house and in emergencies, like today’s weather, they don’t have to send Nicholas home on a bus that goes by our house. So, they put him on a different bus and frantic Pete, who went to the school to get him for some reason, couldn’t find his kid, lol. Nick’s teacher knew he was put on grandma’s bus. Pete called here, told me to get in my new SUV, iron the driveway down and then meet Nicholas at the foot of the drive. Which I did. I think I mentioned this before: I never have to snow blower the driveway, or hire a plow guy. The all-wheel drive in the RAV4 is magical!

Forgot to mention when I peeked outside then decided to shovel, it was windy. REALLY windy. It’s piling the snow up everywhere. It was still all day until now. I hope this is the last of our winter, and I hope it melts by Saturday.
