Slippery Slope Saturday

LONDON, 27 February, 2016 – India has been told that it cannot go ahead as planned with its ambitious plan for a huge expansion of its renewable energy sector, because it seeks to provide work for Indian people. The case against India was brought by the US.

The ruling, by the World Trade Organisation (WTO), says India’s National Solar Mission − which would create local jobs, while bringing electricity to millions of people − must be changed because it includes a domestic content clause requiring part of the solar cells to be produced nationally.

What a difference two months make. On 12 December last year, US President Barack Obama praised the Paris Agreement on tackling climate change, just hours after it was finally concluded. “We’ve shown what’s possible when the world stands as one,” he said, adding that the agreement “represents the best chance we have to save the one planet that we’ve got”.

Sunny today and about 43°. Pete and Nicholas popped over to pick up a dinner I made for them. Whipped up Spaghetti Pie yesterday. It makes a 13×9 amount. They just have to put it in the over for around 30 minutes, make sure the cheese on top melted an slightly browned up. It’s one of Pete & Sara’s favorite things I make. Now they get the whole pan just for themselves.

Yesterday, I took Quincy home so Jill wouldn’t have to come by here to pick him up. For her, I did the dishes she left from the night before and the morning. She was probably tickled to come home and NOT have to clean up the sink. I’m a good mom. 🙂

      And you are surprised why?

The ultimate deceiver POTUS, makes Bush look like a choir boy, so powerful, ole Hill will be his replacement and all hell will break loose as the battle for leader of the World continues.

Unfortunately one has to read down to the last paragraph to find out the article above shows just how much the TPP et al, will screw up World commerce enforcing the puny-minded thinking taking place, throwing climate protection right out the window and dooming us all.

North and back in 45 minutes. Going saw two ducks flying north. Returning saw a juvenile Mallard drake in a side ditch, which has water this time of year. A bit further on I observed two birds flying southwards, dark against the wrack in the late afternoon sky.

Day 7: 262+45=307 minutes. This shows that winter is over around here.
