Suddenly Sunday

1a

On Sept. 14, 2015, at almost the exact same time that a pair of sprawling gravitational-wave detectors heard the last gasp of a collision between two black holes, another, more perplexing observation took place. Over 500 kilometers above the surface of the Earth, the orbiting Fermi Gamma-Ray Space Telescope logged a passing burst of gamma rays, a high-energy form of light. The signal was so slight that the NASA scientists who run the satellite didn’t notice it at first.

Stupid computer acting up today, something about a critical update removed a desktop icon that I cannot remember what it was GRRRRR! Slow, screen bouncing up and down until the page loads, a general PITA, did one system restore been into the event logs, no indication what the hell is going on, back to it some more.

Apparently I fixed it after running Wupdate troubleshooting, but my icon is still gone, probably some Trump-heads at MS again.

    Trump-head = Dunder-head

The warm-up spell has started. It’s 36° right now and each day into the week it will get a little warmer. Good bye snow!

Been suffering silently here, back on Prednisone after I could not climb stairs or turn a door knob, (keyboard poking is easy). Now the constant muscle pain is gone, replaced with the semi-squirts which are not that uncomfortable. Still weak but not as I was before, organizing stuff to move into the new place as soon as the paperwork is done.

Finally after over a year of scouring I found a newer Modular Home in a park 17 miles away, paying cash from house proceeds so it will be lot rent and utilities only to pay, cheap living for this wobbly old dude.
