Media Monster Tuesday

gregpalastGreg Palast: In Nevada, 64 Bernie Sanders delegates – some committee chairmen and lifelong county Democratic Party members – were disqualified on the grounds that they were Republicans. They are lifelong Democrats, and that’s why they were at the convention, as chosen delegates. Bernie Sanders had more delegates than Hillary Clinton. It was a very close race in Nevada. When they knocked out the 64 Bernie delegates as Republicans, suddenly Hillary won the caucus by 35 delegate votes. Some of the Sanders people didn’t like that. So what was the report? Not how Sanders delegates were somehow excluded from exercising their rightful vote for the party’s nominee. Instead, The New York Times headline was: “From Bernie Sanders Supporters, Death Threats Over Delegates. ”

Scary stuff those political manipulations and misinformation.

It shows how little effect the individual vote actually means anymore.

Diane is still here, leaving Friday. It’s been great having her here, she’ll come back in July for my birthday.

Our county marked spots all the way up Carter Road, where culverts run under the pavement. Infrastructure repair, AMAZING! I LOVE socialism! This morning I watched a Nova about the moving of a lighthouse on Martha’s Vinyard, then the crew showed up. Three guys with 2 machines! The guy that manipulated the backhoe-type thing with a bucket on it (like a hand), it moved like a human hand and arm. He could make that bucket act just like a hand. He could be delicate when smoothing something down, he cut the east side of the spot in a straight line, broke the asphalt out so neatly. When he finally turned it off I complimented him, told him he was like a brain surgeon, such finesse and tactical actions…almost like he had his arm in a simulator. Kind of reminded me of Ripley in “Aliens” in that loader.

Except THIS guy has buttons and gas pedals and who knows what, didn’t have his hand in an arm. You should see the finished culvert, he smoothed the dirt back down on both sides of the road, it’s as if someone with a trowel hand-smoothed and sculpted the dirt to the contour it was before they had to tear it up.

OK for the most part, just two issues, the nerve pain which the meds calmed down and the carcinoma which has not even been looked at yet.
