Real, honest-to-goodness wildlife, see it before some Trump voter shoots it.

    Stephen King in Rolling Stone:

So you think humanity’s destiny is to someday wipe itself out?
I can’t see the future, but it’s grim. The depletion of resources – we’re living in this dine-and-dash economy. I love the Republicans, too. Whenever it comes to money – the national debt, for instance – they yell their heads off about “What about our grandchildren?” But when it comes to the environment, when it comes to resources, they’re like, “We’ll be OK for 40 years.”

  3. º¿carol says:

“So, it’s come to this. After years of promoting hate and fear, the Republican Party has coughed up the hairball known as Donald J. Trump…”

“Coughed up a hairball” REALLY cracked me up. I had to post that column on FB because of the “hairball.”

It’s bull shit, accusing Hillary of, “Failure to follow State Dept. procedure, compromising government communications security?” She didn’t do anything any other Sec Of State hadn’t done. Powell used his private email for everything. Double standard because she’s a Dem and because she’s a woman and because she’s a Clinton.

    • David B. Benson says:

      The Hill is widely disliked.

        For good reason.

Because she’s nothing but a self-created political creature. Always has been. Most likely before her days at Wellesley. I detest her.

      • micki says:

It took her approx 12 years before she gave her half-assed “apology” for her 2002 Iraq AUMF vote – then she did it in a book for which she got a multi-million dollar advance. Hand over the benjamins and she’ll gladly issue a non-apology apology.

“I thought I had acted in good faith and made the best decision I could with the information I had. And I wasn’t alone in getting it wrong. But I still got it wrong. Plain and simple.”

I recall many of us ordinary mortals knew that effin’ Iraq war would be a disaster. She just chose to ignore the dangers because she’s a grifter, a major screw-up, a liar…with monumental, self-serving poor judgment.

Her private email server was on her OWN property. “They” may have “all” done it, but her private email server decision was an abuse of power.

William Hartung on the Pentagon budget in Salon.

  6. jimhitchcock says:

Oh, you guys want a C ticket ride on the ole history train? Wiki John Ashcroft.

  7. David B. Benson says:

Sighted a rabbit going up and the same one coming back. Heard a quail and saw several small birds. 49 minutes.

Day 7: 339+49=388 minutes, all without pushing it.
