Yesterday and Today
Wake up WordPress!
The post was scheduled for 7 but WP slept in, I had to manually post it.
I know, waddya expect for nothin. (free blog)
Blood pressure resumed the good numbers yesterday, the last was 136/80.
Just sat down after a grueling couple hours in the kitchen and dammit 106/70. I wonder if I should take the night pill maybe every other night. That 106 is too low, and scary. I don’t want to make another doctor appointment over this crap.
Dentist appointment in the morning. Tiny cavity needs attention.
Drove to Chelsea, 20 minutes south on I-94. That’s where the actor Jeff Daniels lives, it’s his home town. Wanted to hit their grocery store for shrimp. Pete and Sara’s 10th anniversary party is Saturday. I’m going to take a vat of shrimp cocktail and make a gazillion ham rolls. That should help them out.
grueling couple hours Immediately after exercise blood pressure will be lower. Immediately after 45 minutes of stick walking my blood pressure has a systolic of around 100 and there is nothing abnormal in that. After an hour, at most, it is back to the so-called normal range.
Hot today, but nice and windy. A/C on since late this morning. I need to get outside and work on the damn pool. Maybe later, or maybe tomorrow. Don’t have to cook tomorrow, just have the dentist appointment.
I need to watch “Game of Thrones.” Two episodes in the can. Maybe we’ll do that now.
My blood pressure medicine is amlodipine besylate–benazepr. Being two phased it is only necessary to take before bed, quite the convenience.
I check my blood pressure after sitting quietly for at least 7 minutes, writing down the figures. If the systolic reading is above 125 I take the pill, otherwise not. A couple of times the systolic reading was around 100 but ordinarily it is above 110.
My doctor stated that the risk of heart attack or stroke doubles at systolic 140 compared to the so-called normal 120.
I haven’t checked but I think that the readings follow a normal distribution, the so-called bell curve. If the mean, i.e., average, is close to 120 one is right on.
At the Foundry again via a stop at Waddell & Reed, then city hall, back to Waddell & Reed and thence to the Foundry. I’m going to call that 31 minutes actually on the sticks.
Having chili and a berry salad with a pinot grigio.
Then 19 more minutes to Sloan of a daily total of 50 minutes.
Day 2: 45+50=95 minutes in the clear heat.
Even Den couldn’t drink that many. 😉
