Buddhist monks release a lobster back into the ocean during "Chokhor Duchen" from a boat in the waters off Gloucester

Buddhist monks in eastern Canada have returned eight crate-loads of live lobsters that were destined for the dinner table back to the ocean.

Some 600 pounds of the crustaceans were released into the waters off the coast of Prince Edward Island by monks from the Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute Society on Saturday.

“Hopefully, we can find a spot where there are no cages waiting for them,” Venerable Dan, one of the monks, told CBC News.

Respect all life, realize that it exists for a reason not necessarily known by you.
Except for mosquito’s and creatures with sharp pointy teeth that would bite or eat you.

TVD return in 46 minutes. A family of three rabbits and then further on another one. The hawk was absent as are the magpies. Mostly clear and cool.

    Day 1: 46+46=92 minutes.
