Gareth the piano student and then his friend stopped by my table in the Hillside Cafe. So I too had lunch with the boys.

After lunch I happened to see Natasha and was able to cause her to stand still long enough to snap a pix. She then took a selfie of the both of us, me stooping. I’ll pass these along to Den for posting.

She was waiting for a ride to Seattle in a new, bright red, sports car driven by yet another man.

Then two vocal concerts, back to back. The first was Ryan’s senior recital and the second was a guest from the Midwest who had been a music undergraduate here.

Computer did a couple tricks today. Monitor went black, CPU was still on, couldn’t get monitor to come back so I had to shut down the CPU illegally. Everything normal when booted back up. Then it happened again, so I went on the prowl, looking for answers. I set something to zero that said “turn CPU off after 20 minutes.” It STILL did it.

When I went for my walk, I kept coming back to the house to come in here and shake the mouse. Everything has been fine since the last blackout.

This is what I HATE about computers. THIS shit! My brand new computer, top of the line, not very old at all. I ran Kaspersky and it found a few ad-ware crap and got rid of it.

OH! And the last time I came in here and found the screen black, a fan in my CPU was spinning loud as hell! This expensive computer, I NEVER hear a fan do that. I think I need Pete to open it up and use a can of air on it. Maybe the graphics card is dirty, or some of the fans, something.

Damn computers. Can’t live with them, can’t live w/o them.

If the fan is loud it needs replacing quite soon. Warranties on fans expire quickly.

I assume you are running an operating system supplied by Microsoft. I strongly urge you to replace that by a free version of Linux. That will eliminate many inconveniences and annoyances.

It is necessary to open the covers on desktops and blow them out with compressed air and a 1″ paint brush (not plastic) with careful attention to the power supply fan, they run constantly and in varying stages depending on temperature sensors in the unit.
Desktops sit under desks more often then on top. Down there they can absorb dust and fuzz, sometimes paper clips !BZZT!

I recommend annual blowouts, don’t forget the keyboard.

Doc, I will be getting another hard drive for this laptop and am going to partition it so I can have both Windows and Linux on the same drive, anxious to try it. Just $$

Cookies monitor your activities and report back to their home base using your bandwidth, (assholes), save banking and your auto login sites cookies like FB, etc.

Then go to the Windows start button and in search type %temp% go up to the temp folder, open it, ‘Organize’ then “Select All” and the dropdown will go away , click edit and this time click “Delete”, then “R U Sure?” click yes. Any popups click “Skip”, might be 3 or 4 you cannot delete, Googoggle the file name if you suspect maliciousness or right click ‘scan with your antivirus’ (if you have that feature available)

Then go to your Control Panel to ‘Internet Options’, then click ‘Settings’, a window will pop up ‘Temporary Internet Files’, scroll down to ‘View Files’, click on that, back to ‘Organize’ same routine as the previous temp files delete.

Do this once a week and you will notice a difference right away, those ain’t chocolate chip cookies inside there ya know!
