Tit-For-Tat Thursday

That’s the CIA’s brilliant plan for stopping Russian cyber-attacks on the US and their alleged interference with the US election? Apparently, some in the agency want to escalate tensions between the two superpowers even more and possibly do the same thing right back to them.

NBC News reported late last week that the CIA is working up blueprints for an “unprecedented cyber covert action against Russia”, and it sounds a lot like they’re planning on leaking documents on Vladimir Putin, just as the Russians are accused of doing to the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign.

NBC reported that former intelligence officials said “the agency had gathered reams of documents that could expose unsavory tactics by Russian President Vladimir Putin” and another former official said the US “should … expose the financial dealings of Putin and his associates”.

Hacking foreign governments – including political parties – is a US pastime, as even the former ex-NSA chief Michael Hayden openly admitted this week. “A foreign intelligence service getting the internal emails of a major political party in a major foreign adversary? Game on. That’s what we do,” Hayden said. He added: “By the way, I would not want to be in an American court of law and be forced to deny that I never did anything like that as director of the NSA.” (Hayden probably doesn’t want to find himself in an American court for a lot of reasons, but that’s another story.)

It’s the leaking of documents that is relatively new. The US, of course, has a long history of interfering in foreign elections as well, as Washington Post’s Ishaan Tharoor detailed last week. That’s not to excuse Russia’s alleged actions, but everyone feigning shock and horror over this needs to take a deep breath because we are rapidly spiraling towards not just a digital cold war, but perhaps something far worse.

All this rah-rahing for Hillary is ludicrous. Either way, we’re screwed, with her or the orange-haired blowhard.

Hillary is a war-monger, beholden to her corporate patrons. Her brinkmanship with Russia is “deplorable.”

With the news that China will be joining Russia’s air strike campaign in Syria to defend the Syrian government against ISIS and U.S. trained terrorist proxies, she will be playing a deadly game if she continues the present dangerous trajectory toward military confrontation with Russia.

Hillary’s calling for a ‘no-fly zone’ in Syria — basically gives the U.S. carte blanche to shoot down any aircraft over Syrian airspace. Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has said that “Right now … for us to control all of the airspace in Syria would require us to go to war against Syria and Russia.”

In other words, Hillary will drag the U.S. into a war with Russia over Syria (which now could possibly involve China). With 2,000 nuclear missiles on hair-trigger alert, the conflict could easily escalate into nuclear war. Russia is already test-firing nuclear-capable cruise missiles and conducting civil defense drills as the warlike posturing heats up on both sides. Sheesh! Makes me sick that otherwise intelligent people blame all this on Putin! Hillary is itchin’ for a fight.

How ’bout some de-escalation through diplomacy? And a stand-down of the U.S. belligerent presence in Syria? And, how ’bout halting the flow of arms that WE are sending into Syria? She sure handled the murder of President Muammar Qadhafi well, didn’t she? SNARK!

No choice, not even the lesser of two evils. I would have hoped the first Woman President would be fair and just, ending the conflicts we are mired in. But that is not the case, we have no choice because there is no lesser of two evils, they are both bad, bad for us and bad for the World, the only choice is ‘None of the Above’ and get a do-over.

However as the evidence at Standing Rock shows we have become a neo-fascist state where the people have no choice but to obey their corporate/banking masters. A vote for Ole Hill gets us soft fascism while a vote for the Donald gets hard fascism, either way we get fascism crammed up our butts whether we vote for one or the other.

Bernie got the boot because he would not play ball with the fascists, instead preferring to make sense and solve the problems logically. Obomber and the rest prefer to use force being applied by police with M16’s, billy clubs, pepper spray and dogs, none of that will change with Ole Hill and the Donald will no doubt ramp it up even further, when added up it spells 4 more years to get the Neo-Fascism firmly established with the only way to stop it; Civil War in the streets against the police and their militarized forces.

We have gone too far down the rabbit hole to fix what ails us, the country has been divided into two factions, the smart and the stupid, right now stupid is too close to winning, in four more years the stupid will multiply their numbers endangering those with their critical thinking skills still intact, persecution would be the next move, cleansing all the intelligence that goes against the PTB.

No wonder I can’t sleep well.

The ME is a corporate quagmire of no-bid contracts, trampling over the rights of sovereign countries with impunity creating more enemies every day. We cannot stop these thugs, they have been embedded in Neo-Fascism and we lost any control we had over our so-called government by and for the people.

The future isn’t for the squeamish..

Try working with the sort of people I work with; one was breathlessly expousing how Dinesh D’Souza’s latest agitprop film called Hillary’s America had exposed the evil that the Democratic Party had brought to this country. The reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are hilarious.

Oh well, this is Nevada. And Den was thinking of moving here : )
