Trump Tolerant? Thursday

You’re terrified. I’m terrified too.

It’s not hyperbole to say the United States, and in fact the world, will need some luck to get out of this one alive. So let’s concentrate on making our own luck.

The people who run America have constructed a political system that’s like a glitchy killer robot, one even they can’t control anymore.

Working as designed it murders African Americans and pregnant women and opioid addicts. The Iraq War was a minor hiccup that caused it to obliterate a country, several thousand Americans, and hundreds of thousands of people all around the world. The housing bubble was a more serious bug that liquidated hundreds of thousands more from the poorer half of the rich world.

But with Donald Trump, for perhaps the first time, the robot totally ignored the commands of its creators and now has everyone in its crosshairs.

If there’s anything to learn from history, it’s that elites don’t dismantle their beloved killer robots on their own. Either regular people — including you reading this right now — will deactivate this one, or it will never happen at all. Not a single person knows exactly how to pull this off. But one thing’s for sure: Trump’s rise proves that whatever it is we’ve been doing isn’t working.

Riots and protests mark the results of a joker being elected president.

The election proved one thing, that 50% of Americans are too stupid to vote and that 100% of politicians are big fat liars willing to dupe their fellow citizens to gain power and prestige.

Welcome the Neo-Fascists to power, citizens vs united be damned, the anchor has dropped and as such we will be here for a while.

Why will no one utter the words,
why don’t we heed the words,
    more dependence on useless words,
    for the demagogues we serve.

Home from the symphony orchestra concert followed by a trip to the grocery store. The concert was especially good since the new deep bass was introduced with the middle of the 3 selections chosen to show it off. Since I provided the funding Ruth Bowen, cello and bass instructor, who selected the instrument, and guest conductor for this Prelude & Fugue, publicly thanked me so I stood for the applause. The lower notes did stand out!

Afterwards several students came up to thank me, and I told each one that if they could find a harp student I would buy the school a harp.

Turns out that such charitible gifts are essentially free for me because otherwise it would go into increased taxes. Go figure.

Well, here I am. I’ve had no time to come here, or read my two newspapers because my FB news feed has been hopping. Wednesday and today, I could hardly get thru it, so much to read, so much to write. Now I’m arguing with liberals, the few who say, hey we need to calm down and give Trump a chance. Some even say we shouldn’t want him to fail. Heck, who wants the guy to fail, we want him to do a good job. But we’re upset because he’s already showed us his true colors and there is a LOT to worry about.

I couldn’t come here Tuesday night, I was too worried about the election numbers. I forced myself to go to bed at 1:00 and I couldn’t sleep all night. Now I know how people feel who have insomnia. Wednesday night, the shock was wearing off of me and I slept as usual, like the dead.

So Hillary actually won but our ridiculous system gave the White House to that monster and his role model (not!) wife. Hillary worked all her life to understand our government and ended up the most qualified person to run for that office in probably forever. Then a severely learning-disabled man with a real character problem got the job due to a major flaw in our system. I hope the protesters out there set their sights on the Electoral College as a goal to go after and start pressuring the states to get it out of our Constitution, if that’s where the thing is lolling.

Man, it’s late and I’m wore out with all of it, time for bed. I may even have some ice cream first. I’ll be back tomorrow.
