Saturday Short Reading

It really happened. He did it. Donald Trump proved all experts wrong. All of the allegedly certain predictions that he could not become a president of the United States have been reduced to absurdity. A man who insults foreigners, women and people with disabilities, who preaches hate and snubs America’s most important partners, will run the most powerful country on Earth. It is a political catastrophe.

Crude populism has triumphed over reason. Trump’s success is a shock for all those who had counted on the political wisdom of American voters. The real-estate tycoon promised the Americans a fundamental political shift and a majority — even if slim — have followed his promises. The American voters have opted for change, though no one knows what it will look like. Given Trump’s Islamophobic, nationalistic, hateful statements during the election campaign, only one thing can be said for sure: It won’t be good.

The Germans check in on the bogus election. They are not pleased either.

Never exactly a fan of Hitchens either, but he would wipe the floor with Steve Bannon.

I liked him, mostly because he was an Atheist. He may have been English, but when I saw him on Maher he talked like a republican.

Did you see his last appearance on Real Time With Bill Maher? He walked out to the panel with a glass of scotch in his hand. It was around the time he knew he had terminal cancer, I think, but I may be wrong about that.

Now that Hitler, er, I mean Trump is gathering his evil minions we will witness the dregs of politics being put in positions they should never hold being psychopaths and all. The forces of the Bumpkins are already assembling for a race war of epic proportions to be fought here on American soil.

This is what happens when we let the education system fail it’s students and parents allow it.

With all the spy resources at his disposal, Hitler, er, Trump will seek out those who oppose him and incarcerate the non-Bumpkins among us including us Liberals right here @ DWF.

He knows where you live, soon his minions will approach, you may choose to shoot your way free but most likely will end up dead. I saw the rise of the Bumpkins long ago, now their reckless disregard for anyone that disagrees will be paid with bullets and beatings, cuz that’s the way the Bumpkins like it, authorized by the Fuhrer, er, Trump himself.

Gonna get ugly here next year.

This would be a good first step to restore my faith in humanity (and the future of our republic)…when Obama leaves office he becomes the change he promised in his campaigns, which he didn’t live up to in office. Obama should use his powerful bully pulpit as the youngest past president in U.S. history (only 55YO) to become a true, committed activist — using his voice to keep President Trump’s feet to the fire, instead of giving 6-figure paid speeches sucking up to Wall Street and foreign fat cats. (Gee, it’s difficult to type that…President Trump…oy!)

    • jimhitchcock says:

Well now, Micki, I sense we have a new cause, one we’ve been lacking the past 8 years. The cause to stand up and shout, you idiots, what have you wrought!…

Personally, don’t feel the need to stand and March in protest, no burning of American flags, the, and in the meantime, I will be able to point fingers at the melon heads and ask ‘what have you done?’

    But its Sunday.
