Sir Richard Branson on Tuesday heralded the rebirth of supersonic passenger flights with the unveiling of a prototype aircraft promising 3.5-hour flights from London to New York for an “affordable” $5,000 return.

The billionaire Virgin Group founder said his Spaceship company would help Denver-based startup Boom build a new generation of supersonic jets and reintroduce transatlantic flight times unseen since Concorde was scrapped.

“I have long been passionate about aerospace innovation and the development of high-speed commercial flights,” Branson said. “As an innovator in the space, Virgin Galactic’s decision to work with Boom was an easy one. We’re excited to have an option on Boom’s first 10 airframes. Through Virgin Galactic’s manufacturing arm, the Spaceship Company, we will provide engineering and manufacturing services, along with flight test support and operations as part of our shared ambitions.”

Branson is partnering with Blake Scholl, a pilot and former Amazon executive, who will later on Tuesday unveil a prototype of the new jet in a hangar in Denver, Colorado. While several other companies, including Boeing and Lockheed Martin, are developing new supersonic jets, Scholl said his plan was likely to beat them to market as it does not require any new technology that would need approval by regulators.

CREDO Action had a petition to the Electoral College requesting votes against Trump. I signed and they are well on their way to a desired 115,000 signatories.

Nice thing about CREDO Action is that they don’t ask for $$.

An odd thing occurred yesterday, my Smartphone went to Google and retrieved several search items that I searched for on my laptop, like I wanted to search for them again? Not!

    The Googles have no borders.

Lest we forget Obombers role in promoting the “New World Order”, now passing the baton to the Authoritarian in Chief who is here to enforce the rules to bring it to fruition.
All part of a grand plan to deceive the Worlds’ people into believing they are heading for prosperity when in reality Democracy is headed to the gallows.

Yup. The Dems are a BIG contributor to the problem.

That’s one reason, even though I deplore the idea of a President Trump, I WILL NOT SIGN any petition to try to convince the Electors to throw their votes to HRC in December. Like it or not, Trump won according to the existing rules. I’m all for abolishing the Electoral College, but why should I put up a fight to install HRC?

@ the Hillside Cafe via Kimbrough Music Building took 17 minutes. Kinda cold and blustery out; put on long johns for the first time this season.

Thence to Fort French, i.e, the French Administration Building, so nicknamed for its slight resemblance to a beau guest French Foreign Legion fort. Redirected back to the CUB at the top of the hill and when finished there homeward as far as C Street. Stick time was 42 minutes. I didn’t do more than that as my left foot is acting up. Daily total is 42 minutes.

      Day 4: 109+42=151 minutes.

The petition to electors to the Electoral College reads:

“Donald Trump is unfit to serve as president and did not win the support of the majority of the American people. Hillary Clinton is set to win the majority of the vote by more than 2 million votes despite widespread voter suppression and the FBI’s interference in the election. Honor the majority vote and elect Hillary Clinton on Dec. 19.”

  5. Micki says:

There. I’ve made it easier for those of you who want to sign to encourage the electors to cast their lot with HRC.

Got the leaves mulched yesterday, it was a gorgeous day. I didn’t even need my sweatshirt until I was almost done. I shouldn’t have to do it again.

I had to cook today so I didn’t get back outside on this second beautiful day, maybe tomorrow.

Bob, getting his old job back, has been great for him. He’s able to do it from home at his computer. It all came back to him and he’s been calling vendors and straightening out all kinds of shit that went wrong under the guy he trained. We’ve stopped our constant bickering, which I always tell him is HIS doing, not mine. The proof is in the pudding, we’re not bickering because HE isn’t starting it, lol. I think he needed this job, took him out of himself and gave him a reason for living. He can’t help me with anything here at home, so he feels useless.

Well, not now, he’s earning us a few extra bucks AND he’s in charge of something important, helping out old Stockbridge Mfg.
