Nothing funny to report here unfortunately, all the news is the same, the Koch bros. finally gained full control of the country. Now that the coven is being assembled trump is trying to look like the good guy, Carrier for example, and the tough guy, four star General Mahem to look strong in front of the NRA infested set, short on thinking long on guns.

All this in a country focused on violence, detention without cause, and bully priorities.

Inauguration Day, all bets are off as we venture into uncharted waters, led by a bunch of greedy billionaires sipping fine champagne, eating frog legs, while the band plays on.

Some Fridays at noon there is a recital in the atrium of Terrell Library at the top of the hill. I had never been but two nights ago Keadrin mentioned she would be playing, so would Kirill the violinist, so I went. The compositions were by students, it turned out, and all 4 were well suited for the amazing acoustics of the atrium. It is particularly effective in enhancing the beauty of a cello, so Keadrin came across most excellently, but also the trombone trio was very fine.

Afterwards complemented Keadrin and also Gareth the pianist for the last composition. Then to the Hillside Cafe where I said a few words with Carl Hauser and later a hello to Alice; neither come to the Hillside Cafe but infrequently anymore.

Glad you’ve had some interaction with the old crew, but it’s sad sometimes how life evolves and things change.

Love the sound of a cello. I took a few lessons on one in grade school, but I didn’t apply myself.

Snowed just a little as I started stick walking up to the TVD bridge and back. A bird in the tall evergreen was gone when I returned. Call it 49 minutes.

Day 6, but also day 7: 289+49=338 minutes.

Prof. Cornell West calls it Neo-Fascism on Democracy Now.

I have been pounding the keyboard about this since 2006 and no one listened or acknowledged I was right, now we are up to our collective asses in it.

    Nobody listens to me. 😦

  6. Den says:

What if these recounts turn up improprieties handling the ballots? The results might be different. But in a Neo-Fascist world, the MSM would call it as trump calls it, scam for money. Well if anyone knows scams for money, he does, and as often times projection occurs from the self-experience he possesses, suspects others of the same activities. Sneaky weasel. His cabinet is being carefully selected to protect him while elevating him to Megalomaniac of the Year.

The major problem here is; Russia and China are becoming pals, good pals, there is a good chance they would entertain the possibility of erasing the rouge nation we have become off the map.

Sheer numbers they got us beat many times over, things could get messy, not many warriors in the ‘burbs to fight back, a veritable ‘push over’ for a massive military to overtake.

    Jus sayin…

So Direct TV will be out Tuesday to align my dish.

Until then I receive 1 stinking channel, Starz Encore Suspense. Tonight, another masterpiece, Child’s Play 2.

But Jenny Agutter is in it!

I just now went to yesteday’s thread, saw Doc & Micki’s post about Macular Degeneration, and commented. Realized I was on the wrong day for posting, so copy/pasted it here.

Doc, the doctor’s first words to me after the tests and him looking in my eyes, was to eat spinach and kale. Couldn’t believe it when you said the same thing.

Hey, THANKS, Micki! That was really helpful. I’m going to try two of the recipes, they’re right up my alley. I bookmarked the site for later reference. And I just finished my nightly salad, so I’m on the right road, lol. Now I need to branch out and try some of those recipes.

Yes I have the beginnings of Macular Degeneration, the dry kind (whatever that means…just have to be happy I don’t have the wet kind) The doctor told me to eat leafy vegetables every day, like spinach and kale, just like Doc said yesterday. I told the doctor I eat a romaine salad with about 8 different vegetable in it EVERY night, said that was good. He said I should eat fish once a week, I shook my head no while looking at Pete, and the doctor turned and saw me do that, lol. “Don’t like fish?” I should have asked if shrimp counted, LOVE shrimp, lobster and scallops.

The vitamins he wants me to take are a mix of 5 different things, and they can be bought in one bottle. I’ll have to look into that, don’t want to buy them in a store where they would be more expensive than on-line. One of the ingredients is zinc, and I remember trying to take zinc many years ago and I stopped because it nauseated me, blech. Pete said today zinc does that to him, too. The doctor said eating the salads/spinach and taking the vitamins will protect my eyes from worsening by 25%. That’s a BIG number, hope he’s right.

And that was that. Pete and I had a great time over there with the workers. The two people I checked in with, we had lots of laughs because I’m always so funny, tee hee. We had fun with the girl who took down all my info, LOTS of fun with her, she said we were the best thing she’s encountered that day. Me, of course, because no one knows what’s going to come out of my mouth, not even me. 🙂

The doctor? HE SUCKED! He was so uninterested in me, all business, didn’t even engage me and therefore I was out of there and never got to ask him any questions, didn’t get to ask him about what I experienced a week or so ago, where I suddenly couldn’t see the sentence in front of me while reading on-line, and a crystal star appeared in my vision, like a floater except it was crystal clear. I’m going to put a note about the doctor in my notes in my Carol’s Diary. When I go back in a year, or so, I’ll make sure I get a different doctor, one that will actually engage me in conversation so I can learn more, and he about me.

The MD is in its very early stage, hardly there but there never-the-less so I better change my diet to help myself.

I’m healthy as heck now, everything checked out. Will continue to fall apart from here though, inevitable.
