I wrote a letter for the Action Network letter campaign “Sign and send the petition: Brief the Electoral College on Russia’s sabotage”.

The CIA has said that the Russian government sabotaged this election with the express purpose of electing Donald Trump. Even worse, sources say that Vladimir Putin himself was involved. The Electoral College is scheduled to vote this Monday, December 19th to pick the next President. Undue interference by a foreign power is precisely one of the reason why the framers of the U.S. Constitution set up the Electoral College as a buffer to electing the Chief Executive. The Administration must declassify any and all relevant intelligence on Russia’s involvement and brief the electors before they make such a fateful decision. Sign and send the petition to President Obama: Declassify and brief the Electoral College.

I know you won’t listen to me but just how many years do you want to bust your ass doing that stuff? Try delegating with guidance, time to get them young-uns to step up and learn the family tradition eats or fend for themselves, big meals by Mom? Nope a veggie tray instead of pot roast, make a small batch of the good stuff for you and Bob and do it the retiree way; horde and hide.

How about North Carolina? How can those republicans get away with what they just did to the incoming governor? Can’t the federal government get on their case? There is just no hope, republicans can do anything want and get away with it.

Snowed here! More like snow pellets, not hard enough to be hail but white nevertheless, just enough to make everything white, a thin accumulation, below freezing temps here tonite.

I get a big kick out of the Nooz, Frigid Temps for the Midwest! 30+below zero wind chill.
I got news for ya newsies, it’s Winter and it gets hella-cold. Routinely 20 below without the wind chill for weeks when I lived there, the day I left it was 80 below with the wind chill, the coldest I had ever seen, but -30 was common then add the wind because it was so flat, BRRRRR!

Cars don’t start, they need auxiliary engine heaters to do so, don’t forget to plug in, the doors get frozen shut, getting in is an issue, it must be run at least 20 minutes with the heater on before going anywhere to remove the ice coating from the windows to see, it is illegal to drive with frosty windows, if you get in, keyless entry a must.

The snow squeaks loudly when you walk on it, noises seem closer than they really are, the air freezes and creates sparkly crystals by the streetlamp light. That memory will do me fine, no need to experience it now.

Anything below 50 degrees is too chilly for me, these old bones have been punished enough.

Walked trails, over-water promenades, paths along Bellingham Bay today. Bright sunshine, but colder than…..well, cold! Boy! Do I have rosy cheeks!

Not cold like Den’s MN days, though.

There’s a Canadian match-making site that claims to link up a Canadian seeking a mate with someone who wants to leave the U.S. — according to a friend of mine in Powell River BC, it’s for real.

You boyz who’d like a woman to warm your feet (whatever) at night and want to leave Trumpland, go for it! 😉

Doc, regarding the study for permeability of those alloy metals, why even leave Nickle in the mix? The rest of the metals used are hard as the hubs of hell, cobalt? chromium? wow. I am not surprised about the reduced permeabilty, iron would be the flex component to avoid brittleness I would think rather than nickle which is too soft.

But then I’m not a metallurgist either.

Check the alloy for stainless steel. Lotsa nickel. The stuff is used as the inner lining of the reactor containment vessel, so there is lotsa hot water as well as the radiation from the reactor in the center.

As the reactor containment vessel is to last for many decades, we can’t have it rusting away.

Blending all those metals to form one metallic compound correct? What if a hard metal spray could be applied over the existing material. Materials exist that can be applied that way, like these, harder than the hubs of hell and can be applied to existing surfaces, saving $$.

        Then I’m no engineer either.

I would fail the quiz…but be like current day students and try to coax a higher grade using office hours to persuade. Just kidding…not about failing the quiz but utilization of office hours. You and Den are beyond my pay grade when it comes to this stuff! Nevertheless, I do learn…

Shoot, by the time I got around to applying, all that would be left would be meese.

Haha! In the animal kingdom there will never be another ewe…there are Canada Geese to consider — they stay together for life.

I’m just being silly…I drank a whole bottle of Boundary Bay IPA (the BIG bottle) — I never drink beer. But, decided to try it — leftovers from a House Party I hosted for my Congressman, Rick Larsen a few weeks ago. Believe it or not, the get together was FUN — and informative.

    Bottoms up!!
