Last Chance Monday

1a

On Monday,(today) the 538 members of the electoral college will gather in state capitols across the country to cast their votes for the next president of the United States. With 306 electoral college votes under his belt to Hillary Clinton’s 232, that person will almost certainly be Donald Trump.

The iota of doubt that remains comes from an unprecedented eruption of discontent from electors, the body of 538 people chosen by the two main political parties to cast the electoral college vote. Under the peculiarities of the American system, the president is not chosen directly by a “one person-one vote” policy: indeed, Clinton won the popular vote on 8 November by some 2.9m ballots.
Analysis How does the electoral college work – and can it stop Trump?

Instead, it is the indirect electoral college vote, parceled out by a complicated formula and awarded to the candidate who won each state, that is the final arbiter of who occupies the White House. This year, at least eight of the 538 have indicated that they intend to break ranks with modern tradition and vote against their party in a protest directed squarely against Trump.

All but one of those rebels are Democratic, which is not coincidental. Many of these Democrats see the electoral college as the last-ditch hope of stopping Trump – the idea being that if their example can encourage their Republican fellow electors to follow suit and rally around a compromise alternative candidate, the Trump presidency can yet be abated.

I have become quite ill of late due to the marked rise of assholes in this country pushing all that is good to the trash favoring instead self worship and excessive greed along with the need to intimidate and suppress others not like them.

This disturbing trend would accelerate under trump as evidenced by his rally’s and the reactions of the crowds of uneducated buffoons singing praises and begging for more.

We must not forget that Hitler was also ‘elected’ with his supporters rabid with anti-immigrant views resulting in the Holocaust.

Do we really want that here? Knowledgeable people say not, the assholes say why not.

Right now the asshole count is off the charts as we cruise into that uncharted water we should notice most republicans are assholes willing to sell out their own mothers for a buck. Witness North Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin and others where these republican assholes have all but taken over only to bring Jim Crow back along with programs like interstate crosscheck to ensure they will not be removed from power, real big assholes.

There are a lot of assholes in the population judging by the blatant discrimination against citizens by their fellow citizens, the white pointy hat crowd of assholes is feeling a renewed energy with trump, the head asshole leading the way.

If the head asshole gets his way I fully expect roving bands of vigilantes to be roaming the countryside seeking those they deem to be liberal, intelligent, and people of color, looting and pillaging and killing them while the authorities stand by and watch because a large number of them are also assholes.

Dictionary.com defines asshole as: a stupid, mean, or contemptible person.

Looking at that definition defines a large part of America today. Where once tolerance, kinship and honesty led this country, it has now turned downward into the depths of disgust and hatred.

We will all live to regret this hitler-esq madman, only the fortunate will die.

Then back to Waddell & Reed to schedule an appointment with Jeff Feuerstein. Restart the stopwatch for the walk back, including up College Hill Climb and Maple Street Extension. Daily total on the sticks was 56 minutes.

Harder walking through even light snow.

It’s a setup in which Obomber played a critical role, sitting in a chair while the Kremlin walked in and took it all.

Lots of assholes will be in charge now, kindness and generosity have left the building.

I told you we were doomed. I knew the electors wouldn’t save us. Of course they wouldn’t.

I didn’t want to see the news all day, didn’t want to hear what I knew I was going to hear. Who knew we would be hear to see Rome fall, or the beginning of the end. None of us will see the end of this. We’ll just see nothing but political shit for the rest of our lives, and watch as they destroy everything that was good. *sigh* I’m soooo happy it’s Beer-30. Even though it’s damn cold, I’m going out. Need to think. Lots to do the rest of this week, starting with a trip up to the mall in Okemos, then to the meat store, the bird seed store, then Meijer’s for the groceries I need to put this party together.

I called the shoe store. They still don’t have my shoes. Oh, well.
