DINO Saturday

Reports that senior Michigan Democrats rigged the process for choosing electors of the new DNC chairman and threw Bernie Sanders supporters out of a party meeting suggest that Democratic elites will not allow Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison to become the party’s leader without a fight.

At Observer, Michael Sainato says the ejection occurred at a Michigan Democratic Party committee meeting held Dec. 3. “Unfortunately, rather than learning from Hillary Clinton’s presidential election loss, and sincerely welcoming Bernie Sanders supporters into the party after scolding them for more than a year,” Sainato writes, “the Democratic establishment has continued treating progressives as second class citizens.”

    My Grown-up Christmas List

I’m not a child but my heart still can dream
    So here’s my lifelong wish
    My grown-up Christmas list
Not for myself but for a world in need

    No more lives torn apart
    That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
Every man would have a friend

    That right would always win
    And love would never end
This is my grown-up Christmas list
    What is this illusion called

    The innocence of youth
Maybe only in their blind belief
Can we ever find the truth
There’d be no more lives torn apart
    And wars would never start

And time would heal all hearts
Every man would have a friend
    And right would always win
    And love would never end

This is my grown-up Christmas list
This is my only lifelong wish
This is my grown-up Christmas list

    SNAFU

    Or, if you prefer:.

    FUBAR

(Note that these are just mine own editorial views, do not necessarily reflect the overall statement of the host of DWF, but are allowed because I paid my dues)

    • micki says:

Your editorial views align with mine…one reason this country is in the mess it’s in, is because the Demo Party has lost its way. DP had better shape itself up..and quick…or it’ll be, come 2020 election cycle, SUSFU (situation unchanged: still fucked up)

Remember Gerald’s regular use of BOHICA?

      Still apt!

Happy Hanukka to our Jewish friends! Coincidentally aligned with Christmas day this year.

What would it be like if there was no political parties at all, actually elections based on merit of the candidates rather than money…then I woke up.

I was raised to believe that in communist countries you had a choice to vote yes, or no

I was raised to believe that in the American Rebublic you had a choice to vote Democratic or Republican.

Oh hell, it’s the same thing.

Weather holding up here, it’s just wet and the snow is melting. My back deck is clear.

We all went to the hospital this morning, then later the kids came here around 3:00 for Eve. I’m so tired this evening, last evening, too, dozed off right in front of this monitor. Weird. I’m going to take a shower in a little while and go watch some TV.

Bob finally horked up some mucus and was able to finally breathe better. However, he is still spaced out, kind of hallucinating. Some funny stuff has come out of his mouth. We’ve had a few laughs. Now to find out why that’s happening.

Pete called the nurse on duty tonight because Bob was even worse when Pete called him from here. Really spacey. They’re on it, and she called a doctor in.

On to tomorrow. After the morning festivities to do with presents, then eating, then hanging out, Pete and I are going back up to the hospital.
