A Very Merry to Everyone!
But, on a more serious note — it’s called hospital-induced delirium, which is no laughing matter. It occurs most often in the frail elderly. Good for Pete for expressing his concern.
The stalactite outside my tipout kitchen window, most would call it an icicle, has grown overnight too long to see the tip of the longest finger. It branches towards the ends into four loong skinny fingers and two small thumbs. It drips onto cement where some of the water has grown a short stalagmite. Another icicle, more normal shaped, has a hole in the base, round even.
Better check for an ice dam on the roof, if icicles are that big they block the flow of day melt off the roof and back it up under the shingles and leak inside, ice dams. Some times you can push the icicle away at its mount, or rock it back and forth and pull it off, whacking it with a stick will only break it off leaving the top ice dam intact, you run the risk of getting hit in the noggin, ouch! so be careful.
Another helpful holiday hint from the fine folks @ DWF.
(Oh, try not to tear the gutter off if you have one)
Wrong geometry but thanks anyway.
Looks to be that Carol will have a winter storm.
Shoulda shoveled today.

Smartphones started only 10 years ago, helping to usher in the age of the know-nothings.
Oh boy dessert!
