Thursday 26 February 2015 was a good day for internet freedom campaigners. On that day the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted to more strictly regulate internet service providers (ISPs) and to enshrine the principles of “net neutrality” as law.
The vote reclassified wireless and fixed-line broadband service providers as Title II “common carriers”, a public utility-type designation that gives the FCC the ability to set rates, open up access to competitors and more closely regulate the industry.
“The internet is the most powerful and pervasive platform on the planet,” said FCC chairman Tom Wheeler. “It’s simply too important to be left without rules and without a referee on the field.”
Two years on and Trump’s new FCC chairman Ajit Pai, a former Verizon lawyer, has announced plans to overturn the 2015 order, in turn gutting net neutrality. A vote on this proposal is due to take place on 18 May. Here’s why it matters.

If “net neutrality” can be maintained, their next rule should be to control the prices, gouging prices we have to pay to have access to the internet.
And how about that gig limit baloney? We pay $60 a month for our internet, only get 10 gigs for that but they would happily sell us an extra gig for another $10. Eleven gigs would go just as fast as the ten do. Gouging.

Cool breeze thru the window, the start of a cool down to mid 60’s. Fence removal in order with the cooler working weather, the last three segments that did not fall down after the fierce windstorm last winter, Someone here will buy them, I have some chain link fence to sell as well, de-junking the place.

Been having trouble w/ my two ankles. One has a sore spot and radiating pain up from the inside shinbone of my right foot. Not long after that appeared a circle of pain around my left ankle got my attention. After much suffering, and wondering what to make of that I put on my old shoes, the style I had before these last two pairs of identical shoes. OMG! My left ankle stopped hurting that same day, shooting pain ankle was better but still there. For some reason, the shoes I bought over a year ago, and replaced this January, have hurt my feet! I LOVED wearing them, comfortable, that’s why I bought the second pair, BUT…it took time, a year, for the shoes to redesign my feet AND legs, will get to that at the end of this.
Had to experiment so I put my newer shoes back and on and wore them for a day. Had trouble with the left ankle here and there, and evening walk not so good. Next day I was back in my old shoes, today was the 3rd day in a row. Here’s where the leg part comes in. Been having weird trouble with my legs relating to standing up, or walking far. I’ve had a reprieve from that discomfort all day today. I mean, WHAT THE HEY? I’ll wear the old shoes tomorrow, too.
Jill and I are going to my favorite shoe store to find a new shoe that is as level to the ground as my old pair. I can tell, now that I’m wearing them again, they are more level to the ground. My newer shoes must have a higher heel sole, thrusting my feet and legs into a slight angle THEY DON’T LIKE ANYMORE! Body getting more and more fussy, can’t do this, can’t do that. I HATE IT! But that’s what getting old brings, a bunch of bullshit.
Ok, shoe store on Saturday then MARGARITAS! We’re going to meet a couple friends at Lost Tres Amigos in Mason.

Three Republicans joined Senate Democrats on Wednesday to reject an effort to overturn an Obama administration rule limiting methane emissions from oil and natural gas drilling.
Only 49 senators voted to move forward with debate on legislation to undo the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) rule, short of the 51 votes needed.
Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Susan Collins (Maine) and John McCain (Ariz.) joined all 48 members of the Democratic caucus in rejecting the resolution under the Congressional Review Act (CRA).
