Kitty Cat Tuesday

You would be mad too if you had to dress like this!

All the world’s a stage, and all the cats are merely models: On Thursday afternoon, the Algonquin Hotel’s Annual Celebration & Cat Fashion Show took place, featuring fabulous felines decked out in outfits celebrating famous Broadway shows. Yes, that is the King of Siam from The King and I (though not a Siamese cat), and, indeed, there was a furry interpretation of a von Trapp child in lederhosen.
The beloved gathering of cats and the humans who love to dress them featured the first public appearance of the hotel’s new Algonquin Cat, Hamlet, as retiring Algonquin Cat Matilda III was serenaded by the cast of Cats.

Nothing to report, nothing to say, just wanted to say good morning. Yikes, it’s almost noon! Well, it’s still morning.

Haze worse than yesterday. Took 25 minutes to the Old Post Office, typical. Just noticed that there are no squirrels. Hooray.

Well, I certainly hope that diplomacy is still an option.

But, with two impulsive, inexperienced presidents in control of massive weapons, I suppose it’s possible for either one, or both of them, to miscalculate in their belligerence, and start a war unlike anything we have seen.

Not sure how diplomacy can work…even though SecState Tillerson has said he’s willing to negotiate with North Korea — the BIG sticking point is that he won’t talk with them unless they agree UPFRONT to stop their missile tests and stop their nuke tests and stop their development of nuclear weapons.

What are the chances of that??!!

Gerald would want his barf bag much of the time now.

I still remember influencing him to update his handle to Gerald, Lay Minister.

My very first comment on ariannaonline (first comment anywhere, for that matter) was on a post about our lizard brains, and went ‘Gerald, feeling pithy tonight?’
