Solar Sunday

SOLAR WIND SPARKS AURORAS: Intermittent G1-class geomagnetic storms are underway on Sept. 2nd as Earth passes through a fast-moving stream of solar wind. Flowing from a canyon-shaped hole in the sun’s atmosphere, the gusty stream is lighting up our planet’s poles with dynamic auroras. Last night, Marketa S. Murray photographed this display over the countryside near Fairbanks, Alaska:

Boy, I’m glad we haven’t got hot weather. I remember having some really hot days in my life, temps in the 90s.

Most mornings lately I have to put the furnace on. The other day I had to put the A/C on later in the afternoon.

Got my Margarita fix today. Jill Bob-sat and I went to Los Tres Amigos for the twin’s birthday dinner.

We got the solar cover off later and it’s hanging on the deck rails. Now I have to add water, backwash the filter and vacuum the bottom of the pool so we can cover it for the winter. Ugh.
