Terrifying Thursday

Years from now, Hurricane Harvey may be remembered as the first major storm that signaled the arrival of climate change that scientists predicted for decades.
Already, the trio of deadly hurricanes that made landfall in the U.S. during the 2017 season — Harvey, Irma, and Maria — are being associated with the effects of rising temperatures.
In a September article by National Geographic, every scientist contacted by the magazine was in agreement that Harvey’s destructive rainfall was “almost certainly driven up by temperature increases from human carbon-dioxide emissions.”

I wondered why rich boy put that character in there to head the FCC,
    now I know why.

Sinclair Broadcasting makes FAUX Nooz look like choirboys and will be taking over 70% of the local news everywhere after they merge with Tribune Media. That will give the keys to the country to the Fascists and there is not a damn thing we can do about it except watch, like we are doing now.

What is pool shock? Strong, liquid chlorine. Twice as strong as the liquid Clorox one would buy in the grocery store. You ad the right amount every so many weeks to help keep the water PH the right PH.

I use two gallons to the estimated 22,500 gallons of water in our pool. I would have had to add 4 gallons of Clorox if I couldn’t get the right stuff from my pool guy’s store.

Bob is having so much pain from the catheter, no one knows what to do for him. *sniff*

Carol, my heart goes out to you and your family.

I won’t suggest I know what what’s right for Bob or for your family, but I’ve had hospice experience with my dad, my mom, my very best friend from 1st grade , and with Bill — as a caregiver. Also, because of my volunteer commitment to end-of-life experiences here in our community, usually the thing to do is treat the pain, with compassion and dignity, when someone is shutting down and dying. I know for Bill, for me, and for our daughters and sons-in-law, the last thing any of us wanted was undue suffering, to try to eke out a few more days.

You treat catheter infections by replacing them and administering antibiotics,
the last thing I would want is dick pain in my last days, jeez.

Onward to Bryan Hall for the vocal concert where I nodded to Keadrin. After the concert back home making a daily total of 31 minutes.

      Day 5: 237+31=268 minutes.
