Talk Turkey Tuesday

REUTERS/Rodi Said U.S. fighters stand near military vehicles, north of Raqqa city, Syria November 6, 2016.

The United States announced its support on Sunday for plans for a “border force” to defend territory held by U.S.-backed, Kurdish-led fighters in northern Syria.

The Syrian government of President Bashar al-Assad responded on Monday by vowing to crush the new force and drive U.S. troops from the country. Assad’s ally Russia called the plans a plot to dismember Syria and place part of it under U.S. control.

But the strongest denunciation came from Erdogan, who has presided as relations between the United States and its biggest Muslim ally within NATO have stretched to the breaking point.

“A country we call an ally is insisting on forming a terror army on our borders,” Erdogan said of the United States in a speech in Ankara. “What can that terror army target but Turkey?”

“Our mission is to strangle it before it’s even born.”

Erdogan said Turkey had completed preparations for an operation in Kurdish-held territory in northern Syria.

Here we go with another fucking war! What the HELL is wrong with our DOD?? What the HELL are they doing?? GTFO of the ME!!         Sandhole countries!

When you get stuck in the sand, you are stuck and not much will get you unstuck. That is where we are today, the DOD and politicians have pursued a violent takeover of the area angering locals enough to inspire retribution that will not end until we leave.

We must leave or spend the next ten years stuck in the sand.

A second sad story from Micki.

Her neighbor was an old guy, I thought he would be a lot younger if he was buying a house.

Jill came over this morning and we yak for a couple of hours. She’s thinking of putting the wedding off until next summer. I agree. They need more time for this: one thing not ready, the addition Brian put on her house, it needs to be finished up and furnished. He has to work for a living in Indiana, don’t know how much time he’ll have to finish the job he started.

Plus they would need a tent for out on her lawn, have to order those now and she’s not ready, doesn’t even have a date. And she wants a special dress, her seamstress can’t do it right now. I think they should wait.

Still cold outside, had to shovel again even though it’s not much, I want my shoveling spots kind of cleared. Going to get up into the 40s by this weekend.

I posted a meme about Norawy on FB, a picture of Vikings and it says, “People didn’t always appreciate immigrants from Norway.”

Erling saw it, thank goodness. I was hoping he would. He said, “Spot on!!”

An unsurprising 42 minutes to go counterclockwise around to the Tokyo Seoul for a salmon teriyaki bento box dinner. Getting plenty of exercise and omega 3.

Sloppy Steve is in deep doodoo but shaved for his Congressional inquiry, still didn’t answer any questions on orders from the WH, yes the WH is openly obstructing justice now.

Get the hook not the hookers, cuff him and stuff him.
