Thursday Somewhere

Trump ‘pretend shoots’ Kris (Kook) Kobach while he displays his clipboard agenda.

A Kansas federal judge on Wednesday ruled Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach (R) was in contempt of court for failing to follow her order to register voters who had signed up to vote at the DMV, but failed to present proof of citizenship.

U.S. District Judge Julie Robinson said Kobach had failed to comply with a 2016 preliminary injunction order blocking a Kansas law requiring people to provide proof of citizenship when they register to vote. The decision affected roughly 18,000 people whose registrations were being held in response, and Robinson told Kobach to make sure those voters were fully registered. Kobach assured her that he would and that he would send out postcards to any affected voter.

Kansans usually get a postcard before an election informing them of their polling place, and those who didn’t get them before an election would likely have been confused, the plaintiffs said at the trial.

A somewhat antiquated, but proper epithet in the case of Kris Kobach, would be ‘sack of shit’.

That gif yesterday of the John Deere and the two small lawnmowers. Being as I’m am John Deere, lawn-tractor-mowing-expert: that gif was totally ridiculous. It would take forever to get the lawn done. I suppose that was supposed to be funny, but it wasn’t to me. I mow with the pedal to the metal, vroooooom.

Still cold but sunny. I think it made it up to 50°.

I didn’t notice the smell from the registers so much yesterday. It DOES smell like dirt, but not as pronounced as it was the other day. I think it was just me.

Although I already know duct cleaning isn’t all that, wasn’t happy with the time we had it done, I may still do it. All they did was vacuum, these other places send something like rotating brushes to scrape the inside of the ducts. After 40 years in this house, the ducts may need a scraping. I think they can spray something in there, to maybe deodorize? Not sure about that.

I do have a furnace humidifier. I’ve read that mold can grow in ducts, hmm. It isn’t mold I smell since last Fall, it just smells like dirt. I noticed that ever since I found that company to fix my chimney so the soot doesn’t fall out and coat everything black in the basement. I can’t fathom how sealing up the bottom of the chimney caused that dirt smell, except the odor and the repair coincided.

Looks like your return vent (grille and duct) might be dirty inside. A pleated filter is way better than a mesh one too. Also check the AC evaporator for a fuzzy mat buildup on the fins and the blower for dirt buildup.

On to Kimbrough for a piano recital and quickly onwards to Bryan Hall for the vocal concert. Gareth took a picture of me with Celena and then with Keadrin. Thence home making the daily total 33 minutes.

      Day 5: 320+33=353 minutes.
