WTF? Wednesday

1a

The inside-the-beltway crowd was absolutely outraged and appalled by Trump’s performance at Helsinki. There, Trump violated all the principles of American hawkishness. He sat next to Vladimir Putin, leader of a rival power, signaling that Russia is a peer. He sided with Putin over the assessments of the CIA, the NSA and other US intelligence organizations (they are 16, and mostly redundant since they are under pressure to conform to one another). He denied Russian attempts to influence the 2016 elections. He declined to press Russian president Vladimir Putin on his annexation of the Crimea or border clashes with Ukraine, or the poisoning of his critics while they were in the UK, or Putin’s crackdown on the press and on his political opponents.

While Putin’s behavior has been objectionable, there is something profoundly hypocritical about the US elite pretending that the US doesn’t embrace people like Putin all the time.

So I found a WP note in my email which I seldom look at due to the overabundance of political beggars looking for $2, $3, whatever you can afford they say, HEY BOZOS! send me some money instead, oh no, it’s a one way money street, hit it bozos!

WP has this BS excuse for causing grief: “Your login credentials were recently discovered in a list of compromised accounts published by security researchers.” Well la-de-da, a backwater blog threatened by data hooligans, who cares?? Russians? I am about ready to dump WP and go back to Blogger, trouble is they make it impossible to transfer all the posts to Blogger by scrambling the data so the only one that can read it is WP and the Russians, ARRRGGGHHHH!!!!

Had my right eye check up today. Next appt. for both eyes is in December.

Jill and I had lunch at Margaritaville. Since the temps are reasonable again, we were able to sit out on the patio.

Our news will never be normal again. I long for the old days when we could relax a bit, just normal bullshit going on. New wrinkle, new chapter to Trump’s story, a female Russian spy. BOY, did she get around. There’s a picture of her in the frickin’ oval office. She’s on tape, tossing Trump a question in 2015. His Russia trip, this spy…those stories tossed Trump’s kidnapped kids off the news. Are they matching those kids up with their parents, or what?

Via the TVD bridge 69 minutes to the Old Post Office. Up past the bridge two hawks circled and one at a time, while I blinked or looked away, disappeared. So I suppose they dove for dinner. Too bad I missed both times.
