Wicked War Wednesday

Yemenis search through rubble for survivors of US made bomb used by the Saudi’s

US leaders who provided military support to the Saudi-led coalition that bombed civilians in Yemen this August could be charged with aiding and abetting the commission of war crimes under customary international law, which is part of US law.

The 500-pound laser-guided MK 82 bomb, which the coalition dropped on August 9, killed 51 people, including 40 children. The bombing constituted a war crime.

“They came to the hospital in cars and ambulances. Dozens of children with an array of grisly wounds,” Marta Rivas Blanco, a nurse from the International Committee of the Red Cross who works at the Al Talh hospital, wrote in the Guardian. “Some were screaming, some were scared, many went straight to the morgue.”

Lockheed Martin, one of the leading US defense contractors, manufactured the bomb, which was part of a US-Saudi arms deal last year.

War by proxy, selling deadly weapons to a country that has not advanced since the Second Century, famous for beheadings and stonings is not a wise choice. However, considering rich boy’s penchant for Dictators he has dragged us into the gutter with them.

Yesterday was Two-fer Tuesday with the verdicts against two of rich boys dutiful associates bring this awful chapter of American history closer to an end. Scum begets scum and scum does wars, wicked wars.

Doesn’t matter who the law snags, what they accuse Trump of, what crimes Mueller will find that will implicate President Capone in who-know-what…the American president is above the law. Untouchable. There could be a video of him with a dead body and the bloody knife in his hand, oops. Untouchable…he’s the president.

I should say the republican American president, if he were a Democrat he would have been impeached months ago. I’m sick of it all, such a waste of my time following it, I can’t change anything and neither can anyone else. We’re doomed as I always knew we were.

Den, don’t pull your FB page, leave it to try to snag customers. People you help will post reviews. Put up with the FB shit. You have to give it a lot more time to see if it helps you.

Pete messaged me this morning, big meeting at the Red Cross for all employees. He lost his job, along with 200 others. 😦 Pete is a MUA, the guy who drives out and sets up blood drives. Red Cross is closing down their mobile blood drives, but keeping their office opened. People can still go there and donate.

I’m heartsick. He’s been there more than 10 years an actually loves his job. How many people love their jobs. They just bought their house out here in the country two years ago and of course, have a mortgage. We all know he will NEVER find another job that pays him what he was getting. He’ll never find a job that will pay him enough to live on. I’m in no position to help them at all, I’m just another peasant, living on social security.

I was having a good day, been depressed ever since I heard from him. Shit.

Really got cool last night, had all windows shut except one in the bedroom. They’re all open now, the day heated up but don’t need the A/C at all. I think it was 51° during the night. It was the perfect day to get some weeding done, but my mood was shot. I fried chicken instead for Pete and his family, who I will see tomorrow. I’ll make mashed potatoes and green beans to go along with it in the morning.
