Whoop-ass Wednesday

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the incoming chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, has signaled plans to use his newly won subpoena power to aggressively investigate whether Russian interests laundered money through Donald Trump’s businesses and used the connection as leverage over the president, a line of inquiry sure to enrage Trump.

Schiff and other committee Democrats have recently said they do not intend to launch an entirely new Russia probe but will instead pursue investigative angles that other inquiries have not delved into. Schiff has repeatedly asserted that the question of whether Trump’s businesses relied on laundered Russian funds tops that list.

“No one has investigated the issue of whether the Russians were laundering money through the Trump Organization and this is the leverage that the Russians have over the president of the United States,” Schiff said at a Brookings Institution panel discussion last month, before Democrats regained control of the House in the midterm elections. He reiterated that sentiment in an NPR interview on Wednesday.

One can only hope someone can deliver enough information to put this group of money-pigs in jail where they belong. Far worse than any bank robber or murderer, this gang needs to go away for a long time.

I am constantly reminded of Wilbur Ross and his 1/3 share of the Bank of Cyprus that was a money laundering hub for Russian Oligarchs and his appointment as Commerce Secretary by the Thief-in-Chief, making a true ‘Den of Thieves’.

Rush up to the CUB to arrive before the Cougar Card center closed; 19 minutes. Forgot my gloves there so I’ll have to go back tomorrow.

Then back to the Hillside Cafe; running total is 26 minutes.

I had to pay back three months of benefits to cancel my claim, which was monthly only 75% of what they will be at full retirement age.

A month after sending the first check they sent me a letter saying they hadn’t heard from me and I has 30 days to repay the funds, so I stopped payment on the 1st check and sent the 2nd priority mail. With tracking.

THANK goodness that’s behind you. You can start adding to your fund again, and work until full retirement age.

How’s the job going? How do you like being back at that place? Are you happy? I think you are.

So you must be 62? I pulled the plug at 62 out of financial desperation 75% is better than nothing I figured. You were bringing in $200 more a month than me. No going back here. Back to the auto parts gig? Classic trucks are hot right now, business should be good. Me at 66 could work full time and still collect SS, any sooner they take 1 buck out of two till you hit 66. I wonder if Mary is from GA, I had one of those at my work too, nutz.

Whoa, happy to hear that. I was on my evening walk this spring, when it got dark out, I heard something like that out by my arborvitaes by the road. Scared me a little, it was such a weird sound and one I’d never heard before.

I stood quietly by one of my maple trees, trying to blend in, and waited. Heard it again and a raccoon ran up the lawn on the other side of the driveway, towards the house, then he veered off. *phew* It was scary. I had my flashlight in my hand, a beer in the other hand, if he would have got close to me I would had blinded him with my LED light.

Paradise is damn close to Den’s place! Yikes. Bob has a cousin living in Calabasas. I emailed her yesterday to see how she is, they’re fine. That’s all she said, then said she would write more later.

President Melania fired a woman assistant national security advisor, or something. Interesting listening to the pundits bat that one around. They said she overruled her husband and just did it herself.

Guess ole Trump has been sulking, moping, staying out of the public and raging at everyone. That weird bird, everything he’s angry about, everything that has happened, like people making a big deal out of him not going to the ceremony at the WWI cemetery w/ all the other leaders, the “blue wave”….all of it is HIS fault. If he wants to know how it all went wrong he just needs to look in the mirror. He’s such an idiot!
