What if Thanksgiving was Celebrated by Native Americans instead of White people?
DWF wishes to extend Holiday Greetings on this day for giving thanks!
Thank you all for making DWF the place to be in the 21st Century, lets eat!
Thank you, Den, for your yeoman efforts to keep this place going!
And, thank you all for your comments about my Peace Builder Award.
Regarding Julia Child from yesterday’s postings…I was at a social gathering last evening and, I swear, Ms. Child returned from the dead. There was a woman there who was her spittin’ image! Tall like her, too.
I love this story about Julia Child..she was asked in an interview, “What’s your favorite meal?”
With hesitation she said, “Well, that would be a pint of gin and a well-marbled steak.”
A limerick of gratitude to ALL:
There once was a blog titled Dancing With Fools,
I’m thankful for those friends, they are shining jewels!
Hosted by Den,
The years have been…
Sharing, caring…and dissing Trump ghouls!
Maybe not my normal fare, but I recently watched Julie and Julia, and liked it quite a bit. She was a character, and Streep pulled it off.
Ohhhh….thanks for the reminder. A friend recommended that movie, but I didn’t get around to it.
BTW…above I should have keyed in “Without hesitation, she said….”
Wally Mart issues Turkey Dinners in lieu of pay raise:
Damnit, Dish Tv, Den could have watched the 1st season of Game of Thrones this Saturday.
Meh. Rather eat Turkey.
Thanks giving for Den and hence
Dancing with Fools.
And thanks to Den for all the gifs I pilfer and post on my Dodgers blog hangout 😎
I thought something was missing..
More than a dozen quail came by for a visit.
Quail coveys do not use crosswalks in Carson City.
Roasted Quail with Cornbread Stuffing and Port-Orange Sauce . 😉
The quail here are neighborhood pets.
Very quiet on the way to the Old Post Office in 26 minutes. There is a large crowd here for a Thanksgiving dinner. Every table for 2 is taken. Two unoccupied tables for 6; 3 others have 4 each. Joan Swansen is here herself. The dinner special is bird, but not chicken, turkey or quail.
Looks like every seat at the bar is taken as well.
Last 2 tables taken, one by 3 the closer one now by 5.
My Cornish game hen dinner just came.
The family of 5 are as dark skinned as African Americans can be.
People come in all shades.
Home in the episodic rain.
Day 5: 203+52=255 minutes.
Well now that I am perfectly stuffed with Turkey and assorted extras washed down with beers it’s time to reflect on the days happenings and tomorrows tasks, washed down carefully with beers.
Lions, tigers and beers, I always said.
I say turn up the rock and roll and pour ’em down!
Let the souseage begin! Talley ho! Ho! Ho! Ho!, no work tomorrow, Ho! Ho! Ho!
Not quite room for that last Ho! there, oops, Happy Holidays *hic* 🙂
Raining quite nicely here now, thankful for having a warm house.
Powered by PG&E to make the furnace go.
Yup, back up available, I’m a survivor not a victim.
Gee wiz Julia, leave some for somebody else!
