Windy Sunday

THE SOLAR WIND HAS ARRIVED: Earth is entering a stream of solar wind flowing from a large hole in the sun’s atmosphere. First contact with the stream on Dec. 1st prompted an outburst of auroras over Sweden so bright that automated webcams in Abisko National Park were nearly saturated:

“Solar minimum may be here, but you would never know it looking at the sky on December 1st in Abisko,” says Chad Blakley of Lights over Lapland. “It was an impressive display.”

Around the Arctic Circle, more auroras are in the offing. Earth is moving deeper into the stream, and NOAA forecasters say there is 70% chance of minor G1-class geomagnetic storms on Dec. 2nd.

It’s a sparkly, gorgeous, cool-ish day up here in my corner of the world.
Plan to ride my bike in a few minutes…to rosy up my cheeks! (on my face – haha!)

MY SF daughter snapped this of her doggies…Maddie is doing her best impersonation of Melania Trump.
She posted it to her FB and a friend added the captions. As of yesterday, it had over 1,800 shares on FB.
Not exactly *viral* but impressive. 🙂

That’s so cute I just put it up on MY page. For the first time I could tell folks where the meme came from. A friend of mine, her daughter….her daughter’s friend.

        Further edification:

Maddie’s sister next to her is named Bowie. Bowie has one blue and one brown eye. And BIG ears, as you can see!

It is funny, isn’t it? Hope your FB post gets some reaction, Carol.

It got 5 ‘likes’ and one of my friends said he was sharing it. So, one share chalked up at my end, lol.

Wow that pic flew around the internets. I found it on Patton Oswalts Twitter page where I could grab it as a .jpg image and post it here.

Ozwalt, he is a comedian of sorts, no fan here. I picked it up doing a right click ‘search google for image’ and it turned up from Twitter, so went there, scrolled down the comments and found it posted by some kid, sometimes it goes around enough it ‘goes viral’.

I snag stuff from all over too, I look for blog images all the time related to the blog story, speaking of which…

Jim is out too, nobody left except us chickens and 1 rooster.

Boy, Gerald could fill up a page, he was a jabber-box, luckily he checked out before rich boy arrived or I would have had to blow out a wall for an additional comment area.

It has toned down here a lot, still posting at Twitter but no intelligent life dares to enter the powerful realm of DWF from there, too much star worship going on I guess.
