Beer before wine, or wine before beer; whatever the order, you’ll feel queer. That, at least, is the updated aphorism drinkers will have to embrace now scientists have proved that drink order has no effect on the magnitude of one’s hangover.
Under carefully-controlled lab conditions, British and German researchers plied 90 volunteers with beer and wine to find out once and for all whether hangovers are worsened by the order in which drinks are necked.
“Everyone knows the saying, “beer before wine and you’ll feel fine; wine before beer and you’ll feel queer”,” said Kai Hensel, a senior clinical fellow at Cambridge University. “We thought there must be something in it, how can we test it?”

Borderline freezing here, rainy, fierce wind gusts knocked over my stuff, no damage just had to pick it all back up afterward. Snow might appear overnite, great.

Jill came over this morning with the kids, we finally knocked out “Scott Peterson,” a documentary she asked me to record back when Bob was still here. That’s how long it’s taken for us to watch it.
Roaring sun today, but cold. Never did look at the temp, but it was cold. The birds are itching for spring, hear a birdsong I didn’t recognize, and the crazy sparrows were hanging out behind the garage where 4 birdhouses lurk. Soon as the weather starts cheering up, early March, I’ll have to hustle out there and clean them out so they can build fresh nests.
