Another cloudy day. I did get some odds and end done outside.

Beer tent tomorrow at The Wooden Nickel in Dansville. Jill asked me to tag along, so I will.

Time to head on out to wander the ranch. Still have to wear my hoody eveyr night, it just won’t warm up here in Michigan. At least not in Central Michigan.

Rain during the night, drizzle this morning…heavy overcast now. Soft, soothing day.

Met a doctor friend for coffee this morning who I collaborate with on volunteer activities. Then worked in the yard…then rode my bike this afternoon. Bellingham is becoming an even better place for bicyclists. We have lots of great trails and clearly marked bike lanes.

This weekend there’s a BIG annual event, Ski to Sea. I’m not very interested in it, but it attracts a lot of people who really seem to get a kick out of it! The participants are amazing. Skiing, canoeing, running, cycling, kayaking…starts at Mt. Baker and ends up at a park on Bellingham Bay, next to the ferry terminal.

BBC has a fine article about Eddington and his role in making Einstein famous. The definitive date was 29 May, 100 years ago.

For just the 3rd time ever, @ Minh’s.

“we have lived through 30 years of permissiveness, the sexual revolution, the drug culture… The greatest threat to free government, the Founders believed, was not government tyranny, but personal licentiousness”

    -William Barr, 1995

    In December 1992:

Barr called for the imposition of “God’s law” in America.

“To the extent that a society’s moral culture is based on God’s law, it will guide men toward the best possible life,” Barr said. He also attacked “modern secularists” for supposedly ushering in cultural decline, remarking, “The secularists of today are clearly fanatics.”
