Mysterious? Average number of comments per Den’s 4636 DWF posts.

Partisan gerrymandering is antithetical to a democratic system of governance.

Both parties have used it to their advantage. Unfortunately, when Republicans took over so many state legislatures, gerrymandering took off like wildfire! Too bad not enough voters, who consider themselves liberals, progressives, fair-minded, etc, don’t bother to vote except in the federal general elections. Not voting in local, regional and state elections helped get us into this mess!

Another consequence is the current make-up of the Supreme Court. It’s gonna take a looooooong time to change that! We have a SCOTUS that believes they do not have a responsibility to preserve fair elections. (Alleged Russian interference is a distraction in our elections, compared to what SCOTUS allows.)

To quote a wise DWF woman: “We’re doomed.”

To quote a deceased DWF man: “I need a barf bucket.”

Sunny finally. No wildlife observed during the 32 minute stick walk to the Old Post Office via the city hall across the street.

The University of Washington is cutting down birch trees due to an infestation of birch bark beetles. Signs are that the litter monsters are here in Pullman as well.

If you have some time, watch Michael Moore’s ” Where To Invade Next.” It was excellent, every gd American should be tied to a chair and forced to watch it. They would learn what a shitty country they live in and what bullshit the words, greatest country in the world really are.

We losers, the Liberals, fight for everything in Moore’s documentary because the way other countries run things and how they take care of their people is the way things should be done. NONE of the people in the countries in the documentary would want to live here. I WILL watch it again. I’m going to have Sara and Nicholas watch it with me. Nicholas especially needs to see it. He’s the one locked in our education system and needs to see how the rest of the world operates.

I feel great today. Tongue has gone down even more, almost to the normal position. I can eat and brush my teeth.

I felt great today, pruned, mowed, jumped off the tractor to pull weeds. I worked on an artsy project I’ve planned sinde last year, painting a few little things outside on the back deck table with my coffee.

Hot and humid again, didn’t turn the A/C on, was mostly outside, Back washed the pool filter, forgot about that.

It’s 11:50 p.m. EDT and darn if it didn’t just start drizzling. Had to shut a few windows.

My ankles aren’t swollen, they were yesterday but not very much. If they are normal ankles again tomorrow, then I can blame the swelling on Lisinopril. Ankles have been swelling for a couple years now, probably since I started taking that damn drug. Can’t wait to see what else I notice now that that drug is mostly out of my system. .

The bad news is my blood pressure has gone up today. Apparently, the Norvasc isn’t working, or maybe I’m not taking enough. It WAS my second blood pressure pill for evenings. Probably weaker dose than usual. I’ll keep track of my BP then call the doctor Monday if I have to, which I probably have to.

Take your blood pressure meter to the doctor’s office next time you visit to check the calibration. Your meter and the nurse’s reading shoulder agree within 3 mmHg. Check 3 times.

I don’t have to type in my email address and name here on Word Press. I click on the space twice, second slick brinks up my suff and I just click on it. Thank goodness I don’t have to type it in every time.

  10. David B. Benson says:

Double click doesn’t work for me. 😦
