Please stop saying that!!

After Donald Trump accused Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of trafficking in vicious anti-Semitic screeds” at a rally in North Carolina, the crowd erupted in the chant “Send her back! Send her back! Send her back!” Trump later claimed he did not agree with the chants and that he had tried to cut them short. A tape of the event, however, makes clear that this was a lie. Moreover, Trump refused to retract the racist tweets that set in motion this frenzied mass expression of racism by renewing his call for the four Congresswomen he attacked to leave the country if they do not embrace his worldview of patriotism and American exceptionalism. In fact, he mentioned to reporters that he was “enjoying” the latest controversy over his comments, which have drawn international condemnation.” This was a spectacle that had the markings not only of a current white nationalist rally but also echoes of the hate-filled spectacles that took place in Germany and Italy in the 1930s and 1940s.

Yup…the comparison to rise of HItler rings true.

Manipulating the masses is essential to “success” — people will always choose a simple lie over a complicated truth. The lie has the unbeatable advantage…truth has to stick to what actually happened. Lies just have to be easy to believe by the angry and the disenchanted.

Oh, great…just what the world needs. More bellicosity!

China hints at using troops in Hong Kong

China delivered its most explicit warning to date Wednesday that it was prepared to use military force in Hong Kong if protesters there threatened the central government’s authority.

The warning was a stark reminder of Beijing’s ultimate control over the fate of Hong Kong, which has been convulsed by protests demanding the preservation of the former British territory’s unique status within the Chinese Communist system.

The People’s Liberation Army maintains 6,000 soldiers in bases around Hong Kong but China has never ordered them to intervene.

    “Heat” of a different kind…

In Paris, heat could rise above 107, setting record

People across Western Europe are suffering through an intense heat wave, with the worst still to come on Thursday, when Britain, France, Germany and the Low Countries are expecting life-threatening, record-breaking temperatures.

Officials sounded health alarms on Wednesday.

Paris is expected to record the highest temperature in its history on Thursday, with a predicted high of 107.6 Fahrenheit, shattering the record set in July 1947, according to Météo France, the national weather service. Bordeaux broke its record on Tuesday, reaching 106.1 Fahrenheit.

Haha! Loved your post about the seal.

Leazott told The Post that Trump appearing in front of the seal is now the background image on his computer. He addd that the person responsible for the incident is “either wildly incompetent or the best troll ever – either way, I love them.”

“I’ve got to be honest, I am so tickled in the most petty way possible that the president of the United States, who I despise, stood up and gave a talk in front of this graphic,” he said. “Whoever put that up is my absolute hero.”

Who knows what the TRUTH is on this…?? So many possibilities…

Epstein found with neck wounds…put on suicide watch…some say wounds are minimal…other source says could have been from an attack…a sex-trafficker of young girls could be a prime target in prison…is he looking for sympathy, seeking a transfer to a different location….

A bit warmer today than the last couple days, but no need for the A/C. I did more pruning today, determined to get as much done as possible before my tree people show up.

Then Wanda called today, they are backed up due to the storms on Saturday, taking a couple days just to get a tree of of a house. They had a couple of those, plus other work.

I’m in no hurry, they will come Monday of the second week of August. In the meantime, Carol will be doing a lot more pruning, lol.

Just 32 minutes past beeflies, birds flitting twext trees, butterflies on the way to the Old Post Office in the 28 °C heat; not too bad.

I still have a robin, maybe two, around the ranch. The catbird has come back quite often to practice his repertoire, and last night a bird whose song I didn’t know hung out on the top of the dead tree.

Today I googled Northern Mockingbirds, didn’t think we had any kind of Mockingbird in MI, but I guess we do so I googled it. I found several videos with their songs, I think it WAS a Mockingbird. He wasn’t here tonight, of course. Probably never hear, or see him again.
