    Bad Friday…

EPA proposed revoking regulations on climate-changing methane leaks from many oil facilities.

EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler said the proposed rule followed Trump’s directions to remove “unnecessary and duplicative regulatory burdens from the oil and gas industry.”

The step would be the latest in a series easing emissions controls on the oil, gas and coal industries.

    Lunacy extraordinaire!

Jill and Brian are flying to Scotland Sunday for their honeymoon! Eighteen days there. They’re going to rent a car to drive out and see the real Scotland. Hope they remember which side of the road to stay on. 😦

    Are you dog-sitting?

Hope they have a splendid time!

When my daughters and their husbands are in countries (most recently New Zealand) requiring opposite side of the road driving, they say it’s easy! The roundabouts, but only in cities, were a minor challenge at first.

Sure…the Sackler family is settling to the tune of $10-12 BILLION because they are innocent! Oy!

The maker of OxyContin, Purdue Pharma, and its owners, the Sackler family, are offering to settle more than 2,000 lawsuits against the company for $10 billion to $12 billion. The potential deal was part of confidential conversations and discussed by Purdue’s lawyers at a meeting in Cleveland last Tuesday, Aug. 20, according to two people familiar with the mediation.

Brought by states, cities and counties, the lawsuits — some of which have been combined into one big case — allege the company and the Sackler family are responsible for starting and sustaining the opioid crisis.
