Sabotage Sunday

Chipotle is in crisis. For months, a series of health scares have sent its stock tumbling, stalled sales, and triggered a federal investigation. On Feb. 8, the company said, it will close all its restaurants so employees can learn about the gravity of its foodborne illness outbreak. This week, company executives appeared at an investor conference in Florida in a bid to soothe unnerved shareholders, if not customers, and acknowledged 2016 would be a “messy” year for earnings. It helped. Shares in the company, once a darling of Wall Street, rebounded more than 12 percent and appear to be holding steady.

But investors, restaurant analysts, and food safety experts say Chipotle’s woes won’t disappear anytime soon. When it comes to the logistics of food safety, the company still has a lot to understand, and a lot to prove. As it turns out, when your business model is built on the premise of serving fresh food—often with a promise that it is ethically grown and sourced—your supply chain becomes much more complex. And more complexity means more risk.

Yea, just try to say no to GMO’s.
There is so much pollution because of GMO’s one does not have to eat the stuff, the chemicals are in everything.

Welcome to your cancerous future, have a cup of Chemo coffee and a cancer cookie.

Apparently my low-fat diet is fully established. The Sweet Potato Fries last night triggered my Dump Valve at midnight then again at 3AM, while in the very unaccommodating ARRVee.
The mere smell of the leftovers I brought home said FAT!

A very unpleasant night was had by me. Back to the roots and berries.

Carol yes, sister. Same mother different father, completely unknown until her hunt for siblings turned me up. There is another out there too, lost track moving back to CA from GA, dammit. We were all adopted.

Whenever the deli at the grocery store has Mediterranean Salad I buy. Have a half pound daily:
    Red onion
    Dell pepper
    Tomato
    Cucumber
    Black olive
    Feta cheese crumbles
    Maybe other minor ingredients
    And a fantastic marinade!

Tomatoes and Bell peppers are nightshades, a no no for me.
I just have to watchout for grease from fried food. I eat berries for snacks, pineapple juice for drink, bananas, oatbread, turkey, cranberry juice, spinach salad and a whole bunch of other stuff I’m forgetting to mention. I get into trouble eating out cuz I used to eat fatty stuff but now since I switched off fat my pipes hit the dump valve when I eat fried food like sweet potato fries, sweet potatoes by themselves are ok.

Then a bowl of minestrone soup and, to finish, blueberry desert bread. Full, I walked home in the tapering rain.

Cold and windy here today. Right now it’s about 10° w/ 9mph winds, gust up to 19mph. *shiver* Quincy hates going outside, so do I. I’ve given up my evening walks the past 5 days if not more.
