My excitement was the furnace not coming on. Seems the sensor needs new batteries. So bought the 2 AAA cells. Nuisance. Old bimetalic strip sensor didn’t need batteries.

Doc, I maybe done moving but the job is just starting.
Today I repaired the dryer duct formerly a bee hive to it’s former lint free glory, made a new connector pipe for it. Then had to change the dryer cord because the new socket was different than the old one.
Moving on to the washer, after discovering the hose washers were 5 years old and leaked now, went to the local hardware store where in addition to the proper new hose, received a new yardstick and a handshake, how special is that?
I think I’m going to like this place OK.

Carol, That is nasty blood pressure, if you eat sugar or high fructose corn syrup in anything on a regular basis that alone will shove the pressure up, dietary causes of HBP are many, Google it!

Sugar in my coffee, I like ice cream and Dove dark chocolates are always in the refrigerator door. I’ve been staying away from the chocolate and ice cream, but I can never get rid of sugar in my coffee.

If lettuce were to actually help blood pressure, a person would probably have to eat many bowls of it a day. Mother Nature isn’t as reliable as the drugs.

Aunt Mary in Reno, last of the old guard, turned 96 a couple of days ago
She had 4 boys with Uncle Norm, my dad’s best friend. Oldest doesn’t work, second has a medical practice in Reno, third lives off the grid, the youngest Kris works on an oil drilling platform in the Gulf of Mexico.
Man, having kids must be hard; still, she persists.

Turning 96 is awesome.
I would also read a book or watch a movie about the intersecting lives of those four kids. Those descriptions are like four different Springsteen songs.

Twice a year Kris flies out from Atlanta and we spend a few days at Mark’s cabin in the woods near Quincy, Ca. Mark generally brings his 4 kids, and often Mary. We wait till they’re in bed, then we spin pretty much true yarns until near sunrise. It’s kind of perfect.
