Power Wonk Wednesday

It’s great to have you with us, David.

DAVID TALBOT: Great to be here, Amy.

AMY GOODMAN: What an astounding book. Chelsea Manning, Edward Snowden – how do they relate to Allen Dulles, the longest-reigning CIA director?

DAVID TALBOT: Well, as I write in the book and as you just pointed out, all the practices that we are wrestling with as a country now, the intelligence and security measures – including, I might add, the legacy of the killing fields in Central America that your guest was just discussing, in Guatemala and so on – that all had its roots, not after 9/11, but during the Dulles era and the Cold War. He was a man who felt he was above the law. He felt that democracy was something that should not be left in the hands of the American people or its representatives. He was part of what the famous sociologist from the 1950s, C. Wright Mills, called the power elite. And he felt that he and his brother and those types of people should be running the country.

More self-appointed wannabe dictators, quite religious-like in it’s fervor however there is no room for megalomaniacs in a Republic with rules of Democracy in place.

Today we have different megalomaniacs running things their way not necessarily the ‘Peoples’ way defying the will of the people. The Constitution has become irrelevant, just ask the Supreme Court.

Facebook is supposed to post my blogs daily but they only seem to post the benign ones leaving anything related to our current Fascist State off preferring to post drivel and tripe that amuses the dunderhead class.
Knowledge is a wonderful thing as long as it able to be expressed among knowledgeable people, but when given to the stupid is seldom understood. Knowledge then becomes an object of persecution of the knowledgeable while truth is cast aside in favor of lies.

I’m quite disturbed about being ignored by the last 6 people I have contacted regarding the purchase of property in NV, no calls back, no e-mails back, nothing.

Do I have to beg these people to sell me a house? Quite bizarre indeed.
Maybe I should focus on locating a wealthy widow with a house nearby instead?
