Torture Tuesday

1a

Could this happen here?

During the presidential campaign, Donald Trump declared he would “immediately” resume waterboarding and would “bring back a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding” because the United States is facing a “barbaric” enemy. He labeled waterboarding a “minor form” of interrogation.

Waterboarding, which involves pouring water into the nose and mouth to make victims feel like they’re drowning, has long been considered torture, which is a war crime under US and international law. Indeed, the United States hung Japanese military leaders for waterboarding as a war crime after World War II.

In late November 2016, Vice President Mike Pence refused to rule out torture in the Trump administration.

Just a dusting more snow overnight. Cold enough that it won’t be slick out there.

Just take the drugs. Quit thinking you can wean yourself off of them, they are what you need and will help, even with side effects.

I wish you had a wife, or a girlfriend. Someone to care, and give you a hugs and to make your salads, and climb the ladder to clean off the satellite dish. xox

I can’t believe the ER wouldn’t help you. Or could it be there wasn’t anything they could do for you? Did they tell you that when they sent you home?

Just nurses and PA’s no doctor, they refused to listen to me and conjured up their own ideas none of which applied, no blood tests, nothing, just lip service and there is the door.

We’re mad at our bank and dumping them. We’ve been with Stockbridge State Bank for 38 years. When Bob became a senior citizen, they gave him a senior citizen checking account, free, no charges. Then we added the feature that if we went over in our checking, they would simply take money out of our savings. Well, they’ve never had to do that, and we’ve never, EVER, bounced a check.

We got a letter from them last week, they will start charging us $7.99 a month. I went in to find out how to opt out, they said if we kept a $1,000 in the checking, they wouldn’t charge us. “Wait a minute, we have it set up that if we overdraw in our checking, you’ll get it from our savings. Isn’t that good enough?”

Nope. Ok, so set me up for the $1,000 in the checking, I’ll just pretend it isn’t in there so I don’t have to keep writing such a big amount in our check register all the time. Teller said she would transfer the money, and it would be in motion in the new type of account on February 2. We got a charge for that in the damn mail! We transfer money all the time from savings to checking, no one charged us for that. I could have moved the $1,000 myself.

Bob called the MSU Credit Union, set us up over the phone and today I drove to it, picked up the paper that needs our signatures. I’ll take it back soon as I get all 4 signatures and BOOM, after everything clears through our bank, we’ll be dealing with the new place. It’s located right by the big box grocery store I go to once a week in Mason. So it won’t be too much of an inconvenience.

There’s too much to complain about with Trump now. Gagging our government agencies that report to us. The pipeline is back on. His pathological lies that are obvious lies, he keeps doing it, and doing it, and he has people lying right in our faces, too. Like good ole Kellyanne. Isn’t SHE something? No moral compass, just like her boss and most of Congress.

I really do think Trump is insane. He should be in a straitjacket. He reminds me of royalty, like Henry VIII. I watched the Six Wives of Henry VIII many, many times. Henry and Trump, synonymous. Henry could do anything he wanted, no one would dare try to stop him. Of course, they had more reason to not try, Henry Trump would cut their heads off. Trump can’t do that but his sycophants are as chicken shit as Henry’s court.

I do like how California is going to stand up to him. This country needs them to do that.
